Dude if we make the buy in any higher you'll go broke too quickly and the games will die.

Here's what I heard about the phone thing. A gaming commission officer was in the room and saw a bunch of people with their phone's out and looking at them and still getting dealt in, which is against their rules. I'm sure a fine was issued.

Anyway, the rule the dealers are supposed to enforce is if you are using your phone in anyway you can't be dealt in, and if you take it out and start using it with cards in front of you, your hand is immediately dead. Its one of those things that's going to get enforced unevenly no matter what, depending on who the dealer is and who the floor is. No one who works for tips wants to kill a hand like that, but if you make it so they have to I guess they will, though I've not seen it happen yet.

If you don't have cards in front you are free to use it.

I really hope the rule is enforced how you described above.

btw that wasn't you who sat at 2 5 for a few hours because the PLO broke was it?

Could have been, I sat for about an hour after the plo game broke. Could have been someone else too though.

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if PLO8 runs at the Parx. If not, would anyone here be interested in starting one? I would prefer 1/2(or 1/3), but wouldnt mind playing 2/5. I am home from college on winter break so I will be around periodically thru Jan 3rd.

Also, I will probably be making a trip to Parx tomorrow if anyone wants to play a 1/2, 1/3 PLO or PLO8 game (late notice, I know).

Cali has this one right. Hold a fistful of money in the air, and you are seconds away from chips on the table. I just wonder why PA and NJ don't get this right.
IMO, they should just allow cash to play but only during the time of the chip runner to get to the table and change the cash for chips. Untill then the cash goes into the pot.

For instance, player X gets stacked and pulls out $500 in cash from his pocket, he or she should let the table know of the amount and be verified by the dealer. The money needed in play from player X is scooped into the pot as cash. The cash is then changed into chips whenever the chip runner gets there. Its sounds easier than described I promise. May not be realistic but a suggestion.

There is supposed to be a WPT reigonal in Feb, and Ari was supposed to post the schedule a while ago, but we STILL haven't heard from him. Still waiting patiently.

This assumes fast, efficient chip runners, which is the ultimate solution to begin with.

Yes, because if it's any different I would assume it's a Parx-related issue and not a gaming board one.

Please discontinue immediately the e-peen measuring contest re whether PLO @ Parx is a cheatfest. I just had to delete a ton of garbage troll posts from a number of posters, some of whom really surprised/disappointed me because I had thought previously that they were pretty good posters. Next person to make a ****ty post on the issue gets a 24-hr tempban.

If anyone wants to start another thread in the main B&M Forum or the PV subforum on that particular issue that contains evidence of cheating, that would be fine.

If you have questions, please send me a PM. Thank you.

The chip runners keep the boxes full and the dealers are cool with it as long as they still have change.....maybe pay out quarters instead of nickels.

If its slow or cage line is long, you can usually get your 1st buy-in from most of the dealers too.

Not necessarily... As long as the chip runner gets there speed shouldn't matter. Basically, cash is only in play for a few minutes/until chip runner arrives who changes up all cash in play at table.

Or... Just buy extra blacks @ initial buy in..? Nahh, that's too logical...

Not everyone is smart enough to bring extra chips. I used to sell larger denomination chips to keep the game moving until I heard about a guy getting stuck with a few counterfeit hundreds.

Dealers can sell out of the tray at PA Sands. In the beginning they couldnt now they can.

Start selling counterfeit chips out of your pocket. Profit?

I really do like the fact that you can't buy out of the rack at Parx and I hope they don't change it. The 2/5 area is so close to the cage anyways it isn't really a problem. At 1/2 I can see this being an annoyance. In the high limit area the floor will happily run and get chips for you. It's true that sometimes the chip cart can be stuck doing fills so you can't always rely on them to come by for a chip refill. Whatever the case, the less fills there are the faster the game runs.

Ari, from very early on I suggested in this thread that you guys should modify all your tables to make the rack size bigger. Every casino in the world has a bigger rack than you guys. If you have bigger racks then there will be less fills. Less fills means more hands and more hands is more profit. It would be a one time cost for a change that benefits the casino and the players.

That's a lot different than must be able to start on Jan 1. I'm sure it will be delayed 3 more times, lol.

Yeah but it was always a state PGCB issue holding back the PA casinos from having massage girls. It's money left on the table for them; they were just stuck in a bureaucratic and insurance shuffle. It would make sense for the new rules to be in place for 2012.

What time does the 4/8 LHE game get started during the week? I am considering taking a trip there during the day to check the room out. Is the 4/8 LHE game filled with old nits like a 2/4 LHE game?
