Then this hand came down. I have AsQs on the button in a 5 handed game. I raise PF. Three way action. I raised a donk bet from sb with BB in between on a two tone rag flop to see the whole board investing 2 small bets in position. The turn is an A. I bet. The river (which I thought was irrelevant) was a Q, giving me Aces and Queens. I bet and one call. It is now showdown. I table my hand first and the dealer announces "Runner, Runner, Runner!" as he pushes the A and Q up on the board. Other player muck without showing. I'm kinda shocked that he would say that so I said, "you don't have to say all that" and he says "What do you want me to say?" with a puzzled look on his face. I politely ask to "just announce the hand". Then he rebutles back with "Would you like me to put the board out backwards?" I'm just in shock at this point. I wanted to tell him why that was wrong in so many levels but just didn't even want to argue with the guy bc he seemed very aggro on the fact that he didn't do anything wrong. The game quickly broke afterwards.
Little out of line but at least it didn't cost you any money.
I play lots of high/low and too often new dealers open their mouth when they shouldn't. For example:
Board at end the hand is like: A
4
9
10
6
And i table the king high flush and the other player says something like, "nice hand I had the queen high flush" and is about to muck and the dealer chirps up with "you don't have a low?" and the guy double checks his hand and realize he has like 5-8 in his hand and tables it.
Usually its dealers not used to split pot games, but it happens more than it should, players do it too sometimes.
Quite annoying, players get so focused on the high and forget they have an emergency low only to be saved by the dealer.
