Usually. It seems like everyone else buys in for 2k right away.

Any players from Philly who drive up to Parx, and would be willing to let me hitch a ride with them occasionally? I can contribute some gas money, and send my facebook so you know I'm not a serial killer. PM me if you'd be willing to help out, would really appreciate it! Don't have the time to go to AC with work and school, or the travel arrangements to go to Parx.

So how's the 2/3NL going these days???? Like or no like??? LOL I played the 1st day and had 2 guys reraise all-in preflop within 15 minutes apart. Both times I held KK LOL.....sad to say I lost both hands...77($300) and AJ($150)....I enjoyed the game, lots of action.....but of course I ran terrible that day, but that's poker for ya!

I played 2/3 once and it was dead, I hear it's usually pretty dead. Doesnt sound like it'll last long. Seems 1/2 is a Bette choice on average if the 2/5 is too big

I've played 2/3 pretty much every time it's ran this week. I really like the structure but obv it's hit or miss with the players. Today it was good.

I wish 1/3 PLO would run more often.

That is kinda unfortunate for him and the PLO game at Parx... On the other hand, I'm sure he won't have a problem finding a PLO game within the area...

Dunno about responsibility; I just think most of them remember getting yelled at by someone dealt out of a NL hand (where blinds are meaningless) and don't understand that blinds are much more significant in LHE.

Hahahhah, too true. I wonder who would run such a game...

Looks like the parx is doing fine as expected, now that wpt borgata is over. Don't think plo will be doing the same. O well.

by the way...the problem with the 2/3 game now is that no fish are attracted to it...people walk into the poker room and either go to 1-2 or 2-5 most of the time....

i think they should eliminate 1-2 all together and just make it

1-3nl 100-500
2-5 200-1000

this is how ceasars, aria are in vegas and a few more places... think it would be a bold move and make this room the only one on the east coast without 1-2 and just 1-3

Parx already has the player pool....forcing the 1-2 players to play 1-3 would be great....some other dude said it best in this thread when he said the 2-3 would only attract good players, which it does...ive sat in it usually... and on some nights its actually a tougher game than some of the 2-5 games ive been at in parx and elsewhere...haven't really seen any wet noodles, REALLY TIGHT NITS, or loose cannons at the 2-3 it seems to be mainly solid players...eliminating the 1-2 and just doing 1-3 would be a good move.

I don't think parx would benefit at all from doing this, and it could potentially drive away the low limit players to local competition...

That's a great idea. Eliminate the game that makes up 70% of the business. Genius!

Why would they do that? And, who is your source?

I'm here now, Ari is the source, it started today at 4pm. My guess would be since the $4/8LHE has become less of a demand since the $6/12OE seems to be the most popular limit game atm (2 games a day sometimes 3, today 2 + a $15/30OE). Why not have it I guess, the economy blows, let the old ladies with a fixed income play $2/4.

Make it $2/4/6 limit holdem. Thats a game that just might be able to break even or beat the rake.

Or how about a spread limit game?

$2-6 spread limit.

On one hand I'm surprised, Parx management tried to have the limits mirror a nicer Vegas room (Venetian/Bellagio). I thought Ari & Co. would shoot the 2/4 demand down.

On the other hand, 4/8 is such a foreign limit to older players who are used to 2/4-3/6 (& the old 5/10 games) in AC. I'm actually surprised that the games didn't die off completely after a while.

I happen to like the 4/8 structure, but it works better with the $1 chips as opposed to the $2 chips. Sorry, but I can't imagine playing 2/4 LHE with a $5 rake and $2 chips. Good times...

Maybe Parx would be open to spreading a low limit 7CS or S8 game now ?
