I'll keep this beat story short.

My horse is playing 1/2 I have all his action. He has TT and flop goes T79 and he gets it in 99 calls. He throws his hand down face up and they show but the edge of his cards catch the table and they roll face down into the muck.

Dealer scoops $800+ pot and gives it to guy with 99 moving to next hand before my horse can call floor to go to cameras. Sigh.

Moral: just turn your hand over like you've been there before. Also, don't stake idiots.

It's called a fastroll. I do it when I have the near nuts+ when I am all in and get called. I generally do it out of courtesy to let the other players know that they have to catch up. I def have see people slam down their cards trying to be a tool about it. If that's what he was doing(turning over the cards in a normal manner wouldn't result in this), better teach him some etiquette.

i heard all about this tonight. i was waiting for a table to open up and your boy came over making all kinds of raquet/sulking sounds. thats a sick beat imo.

i'd tell your horse to be a bit more assertive in situations like that w/ regard to the floor. when you spoke to **** floor person yourself, did floor person give you any hope to clear that up w/ a roll back on cameras? or was the original ruling by new floor sustained?

sounds like if he calls the floor he wins. He tabled his cards face up and had the winning hand and then they went into the muck. That being said I am glad he lost as I cant stand when people go through theatrics when they win (or lose) a hand.

So much drama ITT. Gonna go on vacation for the weekend and hope it gets better afterward .

How do you think the Thursday tournament will affect the room? Will players play in both the Tuesday and Thursday tournaments? Will players only play one? More importantly, how much increased action will there be on Tuesday and Thursday compared to now?

I saw only 5/5 PLO run yesterday, interesting trend towards higher stakes, as the game on Friday ended up being 1/3/5. Let's hope there will both a 1/3 and 5/5 game to fit everyone's interests.

I went to Parx for the first time on Sunday. I understood the wait time (I was #187 - 1/2nl) because of the hurricane even though it was in the triple digits. I went back last night for the tournament and after my pQ's were cracked by p10's (@ 10:30pm) I went to sign up for $1/$2 NL and the list had 41 people on it! Is this normal? Are they low on dealers?

Long wait lists are definitely not normal. You came on a tuesday night which is extra ordinary, and usually only for a couple hours.

The 100+ waits were a one day thing. Nobody has to worry about it for another 100 years.

Is today the first time Parx has a tourney running on Thurs or have I been living under a rock?

Ari,
Why did Parx do so much to service the tournament series such as discounted room rates, expanded food offerings, logo merchandise etc but once the tournament left it's all gone?? Why cater to the 70 players who show up for a tournament as opposed to the hundreds of daily players who are obviously the bread and butter of the casino. (I know bread and butter is available in the main casino building....j/k)

Food runners are a great idea but the service is way too slow at times (I am not blaming the girls, rather the system). All orders are taken only on the hour so the girl gets bombarded every hour. If she gets 10 orders from Chinese and then 10 from CP it takes way too long to take the orders, relay to the individual resteraunts, bill each players comps, go pick up from one place then deliver to players, then pick up from the other and deliver those meals. I ordered twice, one time was an hour and forty five minutes and one was an hour and five (neither time was on a particulary busy day, but both were at dinner time to be fair).
I suggest two runners are needed from 4-8pm at the very least.
I suggest one does Chinese and the other chick/Pete
While this may not be popular, it'll speed things up a lot if each player has tp load their own comps
The runners make great tips so I'd think it wouldn't be hard to get an extra runner.

Can they please stock some candy bars, chips and mints at the bar? Seems odd to sell cigarettes but not some fast candy type stuff.

Please offer the "rake back" you once mentioned. (maybe in the form of gas cards)

Please try to offer more promos to draw the NY players like me from AC.... You know poker players are cheap, we just need some incentive

Cliff notes and reminders.... Massage girls, wifi (seriously wtf?), get rid of $2 chips at 2/5, vending machines, motel room rates, more promos for loyal players, make comps comparable to AC

Hey SG - I remember you from the Razz section of FTP Forum.

Getting approval from the PGC or whatever they are called is one problem. Getting people to play them is another potentially bigger one.

The nosebleed guys @ Borgata would be happy to frequent Parx, but they want all these games in their mixes (oh, and they need a hotel too).

I'm not sure if we will see them spread at the low altitude level. I suppose they could add Razz to the 15-30 or 30-60 mixes, but the other ones might be a bit too exotic.

Time will tell.
