Hey all -- a very short TR.

First time playing at Parx. Overall, I was very impressed with the room and most everything else. Wish there were some better places to eat within the facility, but whatever -- I'm was there to play poker, not feed my face.

Sat with $300 at 1/3 PLO. I made it five-handed. Table fluctuated between four players and full most of the 12 hours I was there.

End result: $800 invested. Cashed out for $2,008.

Strangely, I didn't really win any huge hands. A couple of $250-300 pots, but I don't think anything more. Just sort of chipped up, making a few call downs and having a few vb's called.

Will definitely go again, as Borgata is 62 miles from my home; Parx is 20. Simple math.

Whoops. Reading comprehension doesn't do so well after long poker sessions. Great action last night at Parx btw. Reminded me of how things were earlier this year.

You forget the part where u got mad at me and the new york guy for talking and slightly slowing down the action. I heard you mumbling... You definitely seemed to hit a ton of hands when I was there, well done sir.

Dude, it wasn't the talking or necessarily the slowing down of the action. It was the volume and frequency of the conversation. Not to be rude, but you're incredibly loud, and you were right in my ear.

I mean no disrespect, as you're a very nice person, but I had a roaring headache while sitting next to you. Once you left, so did the headache.

Yeah, you all know that $1,200 I won last night playing 1/3 PLO at Parx. Well I just dropped in under 3 hours playing the same game.

Donk. Out.

I'd describe it as a mix of very loose passive players mixed with nits who don't know how to play tight.

Next time I will exercise some voice control then. Feel free to tell me next time. Sorry to hear about the tough session.

Lol, dude, the rude comments under my breath were me telling you

In all seriousness, though, next time I will simply say something. As for the tough session, I guess that's what happens when you only play AAQJ double suited and AAKQ double suited. I really should loosen up

Since the 6/12 o.e and 30/60 hoe games have had wait lists or second tables on Wednesdays, does anyone have interest in trying to get a 15/30 oe or hose game going?

Every time that I have sat in that game, it is a largely "old nits" - however, they love to see flops and draw to the low, without any hope of a high. There are also, often times, a lot of loose players, too.

The game plays extremely passive, with 5+ to the flop in the O8 round. Stud8 rounds are much more tight, but they can get pretty loose off & on. Overall, many of the regulars in the game play LOTS of hands - too many. Especially in the O8 round.

You'll almost always get paid for your winners. 99.99999% of O8 hands go to 3+ player showdown and slightly less for Stud8, but, in general - you need to show a winner to get paid.

Peddling the nuts works well

355 runners for last nights tournament. I can't wait until the WPT comes to town 4 times a year. Busted out early when flopped 2 pair KJ ran into aces and the board paired on the river. Won my buy-in and a rack at 4-8 limit. Softest table I ever played at.

PARX did a great job with all the players that showed up. They accommadated all who were in line at 7PM.

that is all

Hey,

I'm a student in Philadelphia and plan on going to Parx a bunch this year. I don't have a car though. Is there any public transportation from Philadelphia to the casino that I could take?

Thanks

I didn't realize this game was in the Parx repertoire. Is it just popular demand as far as spreading limits above 15/30? I was hoping the 30/60 would become a regular game when they get $10 chips, but I don't see it co-existing with a 50 game.
