Leaving 1/2NL (no staddle) and not adding 1/3 seems to make a lot of sense, assuming that the above quote is accurate - Parx "gets so much 1/2 action". I am a recreational player. Have played Parx from time to time and it is usually very busy. But, I am a Thursday, Fri, Sat night player.
Shouldn't the 1/2 game cater to the recreational player/fish/donkey, whatever you want to call them? Don't we want 1/2 to be a game that attracts low-skilled players? Sure, the better players can make more money with straddles, $400 max buy ins, etc. But, that assumes the fish still come. Changing the 1/2 NL game at Parx because a bunch of 2+2ers want a change may be catering to a relatively small minority of players that probably don't drive the game.
Maybe I am wrong thinking that the 1/2 should cater to the recreational player/fish. But, I vote for leaving the 1/2 game alone and no 1/3.
