Agreed. If there is a live straddle UTG, the max BI should be bumped to 200-250BB.

Going to borgata for 3 days but I can't wait to play some straddle poker, prob be there this Friday and/or Saturday.

Funny thing... I told my wife I was happy they were starting straddles.
She of course said "what's that?"
I said" people can raise utg without looking"

after thinking about it a little more...in california the 2/5 and 1/2 games are both short buyins...i forget exactly but i think it's like $200 or so for the 2/5 game and I forget what it is for 1/2 but I know the rake is enormous...like $6???

so basically those games are like for people who just wanna shortstack and shove real fast then move along...like a few blackjack hands..

anyway what that does is it makes for a ton of 5/10 tables going. so i dunno...I wonder if they did make the 2/5 buying $500 max if more people would jump up to 5/10...and along those lines, if they made 5/10 say $1,000 or $1,500 max, if that would get $10/25 games started.

Yes they will be allowed in LHE games. They will NOT count as a raise towards the cap. That's what I was told

I see 6/12 oe run pretty much every day.

Also as long as we're getting good changes in like +straddles I think we should consider allowing running it twice at PLO.

I really like this idea. The 1-3 structure is clearly taken from Aria, which allows running it twice. So why not make the final touch?

I'm not a fan of running it 2x in PLO. It slows the game down, makes more split pots, ect. If the variance is to much for your BR to fade you shouldn't play, imo.

I guess its ok if the pot is 500BB or more, but it gets really old when people are running it 2x constantly for 100BB pots.

I am 1000x against running it twice in PLO. Game would be too slow and would quickly become boring for most. As for the straddle i think the 1/3 game is perfect the way it is. 1/3/6 would be too big for most. 2/5 plo and up... FORGET it put the straddle on and lets gambooool
