Parx positives...
*well run tables
*good variety of games
*well run (nice, competent dealers, etc)
*convienient location
*nice atmosphere
Parx negatives...
*****ty comps
*high rake
*rip off drink service ($5 for a playboy, $7 for a mix drink, get real, I understand this isn't vegas and if they want to cover the cost of free alcohol etc fine , but don't massively overcharge the players, its a poker room not a night club)
*horrible food options (****ty noodle bar is best option without a hike)
*dirty bathrooms ( just cause afroman is in there playing games on his phone doesn't mean it is clean)
*some security issues
Most of the really important stuff is pretty good. They really lack in a lot of the smaller intangibles that could be easily fixed. But can't beat they are 15 minutes away from my house so I'll be there.

i am fairly easy to please (and i have played in at least 10 or 12 rooms and been in dozens of casinos).
saying ***ty comps is a little strong. we get $1 an hour. at borgata I got 2 borgata dollars per hour which equaled one dollar when i went to buy food.
rake seems reasonable...obv i wish it was timed or whatever but it's standard to everywhere else around here and better than west coast or home games.
agree with you on the rip off drink service
i love the noodle bar but yeah they could spruce up the bar or something
i see zero security issues...anyone that wants to buy mugging insurance, PM me and i'll give you 100 to 1 on any amount.
btw you mentioned it with others but convenient location is #1 reason we should be happy to have parx.
keep in mind too when they build the new expansion a lot of these issues will be auto resolved...you'll be able to valet park if you are super worried about that, there will be more food options, etc.. etc..
anyway you have valid points - i just slightly disagree with the importance of some of them and just wish you guys would stop complaining about little things while the room is trying to build new clients.
