Seriously? Ari and his team have been nothing but accommodating to the players. You have to remember that this room is about 6 months old. They built it from nothing and have one of the best rooms on the East coast right now. Sure there were/are some problems and bumps in the road, but again this is still a very new room. So many issues were promptly taken care of. I think Ari is doing a fantastic job.

Visited Parx last night and was pretty impressed. Nice room, helpful floors, smoking area by the bar ( pretty important for us smokers) and good games. Played some 15 LHE with a lot of familiar faces (lots of AC faces), started pretty good 30game and played 4-5 hours. Had to leave at about 1am but sure i'll be back next week. To my surprise, this room is about an hour closer to my house then AC which is pretty awesome. Will try to make it next Wen for the mix game.

I've been to Parx a few times. In general good people and better games. Few cage questions: 1 - How does one go about getting a personal box at the cage? Is there a cost? What info is needed?....2- Why does the chip cage always seem to be short staffed?

I have never seen a room or room manager make decisions that are as counter productive for the players as he and his staff does. The handling of the Albanian was probably one of the worst management decisions I have seen in a room in a long time. Of course Chester doesn't mind his action with 2 or 3 10-25 NL games instantly starting when he shows up there. I was playing 5-10 NL there at 5AM a few weeks ago and one of the nitwit floor supervisors had the 80's rock channel literally blasting via satellite radio. When we told them as much as the white trash music fit the setting, sans the hookers around the bar found at say the Hard Rock in Vegas we would just as soon not have the music on or switch it to anything without lyrics. The floor guy in the cheap men's warehouse suit comes back 15 minutes later and essentially tells us to go **** ourselves. Haven't been back since.
That doesn't sound good at all, is this for real? Can anybody confirm?

Have been waiting for a larger pool of 5/10NL players before I join the game. Admittedly I've been there sporadically but it's always the same handful of players when I check out the table. Sigh.

Oh and I see no reason to bash Ari, even if he did have a floor guy make what sounds like a pretty big mistake. Overall it seems like Ari's off to a really good start here.

What "doesn't sound good at all" and what was the mistake? He didn't even explain or say one way or another what the situation was other than that a certain player doesn't play there anymore.

Might be different now, but in the beginning you just had to have played a certain number of hours to justify it. No cost, you just need your parx card and a license, then you sign some paperwork. Since there are only so many boxes, they may have a higher threshold now.

Not sure what you're asking for. Many of the 10/25 players have moved their game over to Chester. To each his own I guess. I wasn't there the day of "the incident", but I have heard those guys complain about various things to the floors back when they did play. They wanted to run their game a certain way, and the Parx management apparently decided that they'd prefer to keep it running the way they wanted to have it done. No shame in that on either side, and let the players vote with their feet. Competition is good for everyone.

For my money, the Parx poker room staff are awesome and efficient, they treat the players well, and they know what they are doing. YMMV.

I didn't play this week but blinds were 2/5 and cap was $1k for both games. I expressed the view that cap should be $600 (20 big bets), but they want the cap to be the same as the normal max in those 2/5 games.

So leaving AC I saw a billboard advertising a 100k freeroll at Parx with qualifying starting in June and ending in July sometime. Google search didnt turn anything up. How is the qualifying going to work?

Well, with respect to replacing Ari -

People are still smoking in the bathroom, OMG!

I mean, I can't go in and take a dump w/o smelling smoke. In a casino! Effing outrageous.

Seriously - A damn fine poker room; been open only a few months. Should do nothing but improve.

And, by the way, OP shows up late for a tournament and bitches about it taking too long for him to get a seat? WTF?! Dude, you were late! IDK.

Qualify June 1st to July 31st.

Prize pool 100k

100-139 10k in chips
140-179 12k in chips
180+ 15k in chips

Last free roll had 538 players.

All the players last time seem to really like it, we hope to have the same turn out.

Was this freeroll created purely to punish the everyday regulars who decide to spend the summer in vegas?!

Jerks.

After deciding to destroy some tourists down in AC at the Borgata I realized that Parx has some of the best customer service of all of the poker rooms that I have ever played in. Keep it going guys.

Anyone have an idea of how often that 6-12 mixed game goes off or the 8-16 limit hold em blue chip which sounds sexy I love limit games with tons of chips but tons of reds can hurt me sometimes
