LOL..its funny you say that, because I was wondering what people would say if you played at the tables with latex gloves. Maybe if enough people did it they would notice..haha.

In all seriousness, Money is one of the most germ infested things we handle on a daily basis, so chips are probably more so, since they pass so many hands in a day.

Ari and the whole staff seem to really listen to all of us here and for that we should be grateful. I am sure that if enough of us say something, it will be taken care of.... Nothing worse than grabbing a stack and having the chips below stick to them like magnets

BTW, Ari I never got an answer to my question about the tournaments... After the 50K freeroll you mentioned that tournaments would start on Wed nights and Sat afternoons ... Will there only be tournaments on these two days or tournaments every day ??

Cheers

This is hilarious...and doable. Someone should start a new thread, or hop into the Taj thread and suggest organizing a meeting of 100 or so 2p2ers at the Taj poker room. Make it a Sunday morning (7 am ish) when a lot of tables are available. As everyone files in at the front desk, have someone from the group handing out the gloves. Everyone play their entire session with the gloves.

This would definitely send a message, that has been sent plenty of times in the past to management, that clean chips are wanted!!

We plan on starting with Wednesday and Saturday at first. I am a firm believer on doing things right, I would not want to put out a schedule that we can not commit to.

Friend texted me about 40 minutes ago saying he just saw a $2,500 pot at a 2/5NL table. Minute later he texted saying it ended up being $4,000 and the biggest 2/5 pot he'd ever seen. Does anyone have any info on it?

Play the entire session, I would be surprised even they even sat us.. LOL

I havent been to the trop poker room in a while, but I am sure their chips arent far behind the Taj..

To be honest, I am so glad Parx opened this room, and it really seems like Ari and his staff have really planned this well, and have provided a world class poker room..

I took a year off from poker, and only got back into the game over the past few weeks, since my visit to Parx.. What a pleasure to have this room!!!

Cheers to you and the staff Ari, keep it up!!!!

ALSO.. Not sure if you saw one of my previous posts, can you comment on valet, is it available now, in the future, not at all? TX

Seems like the 8-16 sometimes has a hard time getting legs. I'm not sure why (other than 1/2NL has most of the $200-300 buy-in crowd). I'm a big fan of the game and I don't like seeing a big gap between 4-8 and 15-30. A 10-20 game is NOT the answer!

Let me float a couple ideas out for feedback:

Foxwoods plays their 5-10 game with a kill. I wonder if the 4-8 here might get some support for a kill (or a half-kill).

Maybe even take a shot at running a 6-12 game. With the $2 chips and a 2chip/3chip blind structure (like the 15 game), it might fly.

Thoughts?

I saw a pot Monday that appeared to be at least $6000 from what I could tell looking at the chips. It sounded like someone got called bluffing. I think it was a 10-25 table, but I'm not sure.

Quick note for mid-limit players to celebrate. I just looked at the games going and Parx actually has more mid-limit games right now then Borgata. Granted it's a Tuesday night so people probably want to play closer to home, but I'm still surprised. I gotta start playing occasionally on weekdays...

Parx:
$15-30 Limit Hold'em 2
$30-60 Limit Hold'em 1

Borgata:
(1) $20 - $40 Limit Hold'em

I play 90% 10/20 Lim, 10% 1-2 NL. Its the exact reason you mention above about the 8/16, that may force me to go 100% 1-2 NL because of the gap between lim tables.. With the NL, at least I can pick up and go at any time, and know I can sit...

I am not sure, imo, kill \ half kill would be very well accepted with the players at this (4/8) limit, but.. I absolutely love the idea about the 6/12!!!!

Good stuff!!!

Ya thats me, I played the 1/2 that day due to the way I got nice and toasted playing during the tournament ( so card dead ). Have to say that it was one of the most craziest 1/2 tables I have ever been at ( average pot between 600-1 k) was able to book a +2.1k day mostly due to a arrogant European guy waiting for a seat in his 2/5 game. Let me send a shout out to my by Vladimir, thanks bud.

Sucks that it wasn't a good turn out though, maybe some other time!! I'll see ya around if you are ever up at parx ACdawg

Curious question, when is tournament play coming to Parx? I know Harrah's either has it now or is coming as soon as WSOP Circuit event happens.

Read the previous page.... This topic has been covered.

Cliffs: 50K freeroll on May 17th ( need a min of 60 hrs of play between Apr 1 - 30th to qualify) More hours = More chips to start
Regular tournaments start following on Wed nights @ 7:00 and Sat @ 2:00 pm

Cheers

Apologies if this has been covered already, but will $10 chips be used anytime soon?

A few friends are interested in getting 40/80 games running. Thanks

I'm with you and quite sad that 8-16 is often on life support. I find it less enjoyable to play when you are always thinking about the game breaking.
15-30 is a great game, but I'm not quite yet rolled to play it on a consistent basis. 4-8 is a tad too low.
Ari, what is the management's viewpoint on this?
I love the 8-16, but realize that it struggles some days.

I think the $10 chip has been applied for with PA Gaming. If so, that's the good news.

Bad news (for you & your friends) is that I doubt that Ari is going to spread 40-80. The 10's would be used in the 30-60 game (and maybe some of the higher NL games).

10-20, 20-40 & 40-80 are not in the Parx game spread.

In regards to the scuzzy chips:

I always have a bottle of hand sanitizer on me. It's great for whne you feel that "need" to clean your hands
