Re: PARX Poker Thread

I played in the 5/10 on Sunday. It had to be the softest 5/10 I have ever played in. I'm sure it had to do with the BWO running.

Anyways, I lost $700 in the game. I lost a $2,700 pot as a 90% favorite heading to river.

Oh, and the average preflop raise was $35.

Re: PARX Poker Thread

Thanks for all the advice guys, it's appreciated.

Sat down last night for the first time. bought in for $600 and left with just under $800 after 3 hours of play... avg raise at my table seemed to be $20 and play seemed much more straight forward than most 1/2 tables as mentioned. all in all it was a good experience and I look forward to more this weekend, I imagine that like the 1/2 games the 2/5 get juicier on Fri and sat nights. till then....

Cheers

Nice bluff.

Well I stand corrected. I've eaten here numerous times and have never seen food from any other menu than the "asian" one

I'll be down for 8/16 or 15/30 HOSE, unless 30/60 LHE is running.

just curious -- is razz not legal in PA (like ac) or do you just not like it.

Draw games?

Razz is not approved in PA. I'm not sure about draw games, but I would guess not.

List of approved PA poker games from http://www.pgcb.state.pa.us/files/re...egulations.pdf

(1) Seven-card Stud (High, High-low-hand Split and High-low-hand Split Eight or Better).
(2) Hold ‘Em (High).
(3) Omaha (High, High-low-hand Split Eight or Better).
(4) Five-card Draw (high and low-hand).
(5) Five-card Stud (high).
(6) Other Poker games approved by the Board.

Closest to razz would be 7-card stud hi/lo (no qualifier for low). Draw games are approved but as described, it's single draw only.

blows my mind that they put in 5 card stud, draw hilo (games that havent been played been played anywhere for like 40 years) but not razz.

makes me a sad panda.

Re: PARX Poker Thread

Good mix of Omaha games running right now
Live report
$4-8O/E 1
$4-8Omaha HI/LO 1
$1-2Pot Limit Omaha 1

Parx Limit Hold'em game list
For LHE the most popular games are 4/8, 15/30 LHE followed by 8/16.
30/60 Limit runs sometimes also.

http://www.taeyeonkim.com/parx/

Parx Non holdem game report:
4/8 O8b starts ~ noon most days
4/8 O/E - at irregular times but most likely on Friday and Saturdays? Not a completely overlapping list of players.
4/8 HOSE - has never run
8/16 HOSE - run 4 times maybe?
8/16 O8b - has never run to the best of my knowledge
8/16 O/E - has never run to the best of my knowledge
1/2 PLO - Used to be a Tuesday "regular" game, now it runs infrequently
2/5 PLO/NLHE mixed game ran on a few Fridays. (Unlikely to run without prior planning)

Stud has run before but now there is never an interest list

It seems like to get a new game going the best method seems to be to get 3-4 regulars to agree to meet to get the game started?

Re: PARX Poker Thread

Plenty of degens with no social lives nor friends and family were at Parx on thanksgiving and Xmas. Sure the same will be said for the super bowl. But theres a lot of overlap between poker players and super bowl watchers/bettors so I'm not quite sure.

The HOSE game lasted until about 6:00 pm. We played a round of every game but stud eight. The floor called for a new $15-$30 game and most of the players migrated to that game.

After the game I immediately got seated in a $1-$2 game so no worries that the game broke up.
