In terms of suggestions: The bathrooms are consistently a mess (toilets full of ****, saw one with a needle as well. disgusting). They need to be cleaned more often imo. This may only be occuring when its late at night though. Also, needs a place that serves decent food 24/7 or at least late. The noodle bar is good, but I can see myself getting bored of the food.

Steve Wynn would never let this fly in one of his joints. I wonder if they'll give me comps to compensate for the approx $8 in gas and $2 bridge toll I just wasted? lol

Don't remember a football game ever being delayed either. For a tough guy city, Philly can be pretty vaginal.

Gold star, imo, to Parx for that... well, that is, unless it was only because they couldn't get staff in.

Mgmt only gets the gold star if they were being proactive, not reactive.

If you are gonna get snowed in someplace, I can't imagine a better place to be than a casino. Cards, booze, food, cocktail waitresses ...

Where else would you want to be stranded?

1/2 player left after tilting pretty bad, and was seen standing at the edge of a parx east pothole, threatening to jump. No one seemed to pay attention to his pain. What a bunch of hard people we Parx players are.

BAH! "Hard" players would be heard screaming "JUMP!" and taking wagers on whether he'd survive.

As for men's room, it is pretty shady /nasty. Went in other night to find a puddle on the floor that went the length of the urinal wall, but in middle of floor. Players walked in, stepped in, reacted, relieved themselves, and then wondered. Nasty. For all the attention that has been paid to the room itself, which is outstanding, the fringes need work. By fringe I mean parking lot/lighting/paving, restrooms, food options. But on other hand, they've also gotten a lot of the core things very well done. This just means there is room to improve, and I think the room has excellent management that can/should push these issues to forefront for casino.

I wonder if they would keep this "closed for snow" policy if they had an adjoining hotel?

Hm, that's a good question. They probably would though just because of workers and stuff. Like people's shifts have to eventually end. But it would've been nice if that situation did occur

We closed based on the anticipated bad weather.

I had a similar evening.

Got done with dinner, considered wanting to go play some cards. But, then, looked out the window and saw A BLIZZARD, no one on the road, and decided to check out the game list:

http://i.parxcasino.com/gamereport.php

I said, hmmm..doesn't look like game selection will be very good tonight, so I decided to snowshoe around the development I live in instead. It was awesome.

Roads should be clear by tomorrow though...

H.O.S.E. tomorrow or Friday at 9pm anyone?

Wow I was playing 2/5 at chester and the floor guy said they closed parx. Thought it was bs till I looked on here. I know one thing, if there is even a threat of snow I'm not going to drive there.

I've never heard of casinos closing during snow. Restaurants, other businesses, yes. But not poker rooms. Was the main casino open and just Parx East closed?

Jeff
