Agree. I also brought this topic up a few days ago. 2/4 should not be the lowest limit game. Parx should try 3/6 or 4/8.

Maybe this lineup would be good to get things started ?

1/2, 2/5, 5/10 NLHE
3/6, 6/12, 15/30, 30/60 LHE
2-10 7CS
5/10 O8
1/2 PLO

on the issue of smoking, i have heard that the poker rooms themselves are nonsmoking, but it really doesn't matter because all you have to do is step 3 inches off the poker floor and you can smoke. the room, in turn, will be smoke filled, or at least partially.

it stinks like crap and it bothers the hell out of me. of course, i've grown up avoiding it because i have asthma. but its the stench as much as anything that stays in your hair and on your clothes that sucks.

Yea that's the sort of thing I was kinda worried about. Thanks for the info, we'll have to see how much it ends up permeating the room if this is indeed the case at Parx.

And FWIW I ask because I happen to be particularly sensitive to smoke, not just a life nit.

Of course people care I remember the smoking tables sitting between 2 smokers one lighting up another while he still has one smoldering in the ashtray.Remember the old WSOP clip of action Dan taking action with his personal fan against the chain smoker.

I was pretty frustrated PARX didn't apply for poker initially but judging from the complaints about the long waits lists and lack of tables, PARX might have made the best decision to see how the demand is for poker in SEPA. Hopefully, they have big plans for the room. I heard it would be on the top floor of the horse betting facility.

Parx does not have poker now. October at earliest.
Harrahs Chester is the closest other room followed by Delaware Park.

You are overlooking the fact that the problems are stemming from brand new dealers and floor people. It just takes time for them to get comfortable with theirs jobs. There are room flaws in places but I think most people are complaining about slowness of the games and freshness of the dealers.

Ari
There is no provision in the PA gaming statute for $2 chips, aside from chips designated specially for the rake IIRC.

What does slow dealers and floor people have to do with loooongg waiting lines and poor layouts ? I accept the new staffs are going to move slowly but I believe PARX will benefit from watching other places oversights. Thats the point I was trying to make.

Hopefully "Parx Poker" will keep us up to date on progress and plans.

I am copy pasting this from another thread, this would be the best course of action as it would stop all the doubt people have about the Parx identity. Believe you get a custom tag under your name declaring you as the actual voice of the card room.

Please read B&M Forum FAQ guideline 3 in the FAQ sticky thread at the top of the B&M Forum. You are not allowed to post information regarding your place of employment. If you would like to have a manager contact user Bobo Fett to become an authorized user, that would be great and we'd all appreciate hearing from the manager once he/she is approved as an authorized user. Thank you.

This.

In case there are any other potential room reps reading this, I'll just add that they should email advertising-dept@twoplustwo.com for authorization. If they don't get a timely response, they can certainly contact me here via PM.

Ari has contacted us, so I will be working with him to get this resolved.
