I'm going to be in town this weekend and am debating which room to play. If I call ahead the full two hours on Thursday evening or Friday afternoon, does anyone have an idea as to how long I would be waiting around for once I get there? I know it depends, but any sort of data point helps.

Thanks!

I have a feeling that the pressure has abated a bit recently. If you call full 2 hours ahead, I would suspect you would be on a top of a list for virtually any game, i.e., you should not wait at all.

Idk. The regulars all seem to call in close to the 2 hours ahead of time. I usually get here early, like before 8am, and there are times the list is filled with call ins. It seemed like less call ins a few months ago

O yes, I agree with that. There are definitely more call ins compared to few months ago and the list is always huge (I am talking about 1/3 primarily). But my experience is that when I check in 1+ hours after call in the evenings, I am usually on the top of list of the people who are actually there. Now, I do play evenings, maybe mornings are different. In case of OP, I dont think they should wait too long, even on Friday evenings.

I don't know Parx's policies re: call ins but rooms I worked at would purge call ins after an hour or 90 minutes so you should ask them how long they'll let you stay on the list.

I heard a few stories like that over the past few months. I also heard the reserve is so high that it would bounce right back to 250 minimum

Attn: 2-5 NLH Pikers

You are being ripped off $3 an hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days, because the player funded lotto $1 is being take at $20 instead of $50, like it should be. You pikers are powerful like NFL and NBA players. You call the shots. There's no game without you. Parx Poker has no money unless you keep giving them your money. Now, tell Parx youre not going to play unless they fix the fin lotto dollar.

lol@ being dense enough to think bottom of the barrel casino customers (poker players) are on par with the most powerful employees in the world.

You are dense enough to make 10,000+ posts on these forums. You choose the words "on par", not me. There's no multi-hundred million dollar casino without the customers. Customers have power. The 300 poker players in the poker room do have alot of power.

And you should care about $3 an hour, if you play 100+ hours of 2/5 NLH a month. You are contributing $3000+ a year too much for promotions. Limped pots and single raised are all over $20 and under $50. It's much worse short-handed. I want Parx Poker to be perfect. I like perfection. Taking the promo should be at ****ing 10 times the ****ing big blind for NLH games. Got it? If you dont care, you are a ****ing dope.
