All the Philly area and AC rooms would be better off if you and maximus215 (oh wait, you're the same person) stopped playing in all of them since all you do is complain about the rake at every one of them! If you can't afford to play the game and tip the dealer, just stay home and play online!

Is there a shortage of dealers, and/or still capacity resteictions? No other conceivable reasons why it should take 3hr on a Tuesday to get a seat when half the tables are inactive.

Yes, there has been a well documented shortage of dealers, mentioned in this very thread. Capacity has actually gone up recently from 7 handed to 9 handed. So they are doing everything they can with what they have.

And fwiw, Tuesday afternoon / evening is one of the busiest nights of the week.

I would also suggest using the Bravo app to see how many people are on the list before you even go.

Plan ahead, call ahead and get on the list.

It's the night the big games run. I'm not sure why it was Tuesday and not Mon or Wed, but once it settled that way, it became more self fulfilling. Parx may have started tailoring promotions to suit the player demand, but really Tuesdays are packed enough they don't need special promos to bring in players then.

Much of the player pool lives in or near Philly. During the week, on school nights, people want to play closer to home, get home that night, and go to work the next day. So weekday games are more acceptable in the Philly area rooms. Then they tend to move to AC on weekends, especially in the summer. Although even that is maybe blurring a little especially in COVID times.

For whatever reason, it's the day that all the high roller games happen.
Nothing special promotion wise.

I think there was a whale or two that wanted to play on Tuesday at the old Sands in Bethlehem IIRC. The game was moved to Parx and the day has stuck ever since.

For what is worth, yesterday there was a discussion about the lack of dealers at the table and the dealer said that ``they are missing around 40 to 50 people'' and that ``they do have classes but there just arent many people''. Of course, pure hearsay, but it seems that this is not going to get much better very soon.

Anyone who was there able to confirm that the tornado missed and/or that nobody was hurt? It hit the Lowes that's maybe a mile and a half away pretty hard, and would have been heading in the general direction of the casino. Hope everyone's ok!

The tornado touched down in Bensalem with major damage. I was planning to go there today but I didn't because I knew the storms coming in were gonne be bad.

Made one lap of the circuit coz I haven't been there since the poker room moved from the Racing Grandstand and left...
