Is it easy to wait at the Parx or go with the long ride. Thanks

The 3 times I’ve went since Feb I’ve just sat down at an empty table to wait. It hasn’t been too bad. Was there on Tuesday and I waited probably an hour for a 2/5 game, but tuesdays are tuesdays at parx, so yeah

Wind Creek is closed because the new owners got in over their heads right from the sale, it has nothing to do with the dealers. They're still saying they will reopen after the covid restrictions are lifted which is probably just an excuse to keep the BBJ in limbo.

If you go to Parx call in when you're 45 min. out to be placed on the list (you have an hour to check in but I use the 45 min. mark in case of traffic, finding parking, etc).

If I had the same drive you have I would still go to Parx ainec.

From what I can remember, because I was in a hand when it all started, you were yelling at him for not doing his job and telling him to do his job and open up more games I think you motioned to the board saying all those people are waiting, something to that effect. I think it was a supervisor who then said I'm in the service industry don't you think I would do it if I could - I don't remember all the exact words but the conversation I had with the supervisor after you left was some people can't understand the room has no idea how many players are gonna show up on any given day.

They do their best to accommodate us so at least give them a pat on the back for that. Your description matches almost 100%. I could be wrong but if that was you next time you come to a poker room and there's a long list with no dealers available you should be mad at yourself for not coming in earlier instead of an employee who has no control over the situation.

Excited to get back to Parx after more than a year. I used to like to get takeout from Bambu or Liberty Bell midway through a session, but that must be a no-go for now. Have they started doing a dinner list?

With shortage of dealers, I'd imagine tourneys might be a ways off?

Parx action is great but holy hell do they need more dealers. I guess the hiring / schooling / regulatory process is slow but woo!

All Pennsylvania Covid restrictions except for indoor mask requirements are dropping on Memorial Day (Philly itself may be longer). I asked the floor if that means they can kill the plexiglass and expand to 9-handed but they didn't know yet. One time!

Why would you want to expand back to 9 handed?!?! 7 handed is printing money

7-handed is cool but at least wait lists would get better. Waiting an hour to play even after calling in an hour ahead gets tiresome.

I was more excited about the losing the plexiglass part so we don't have to live in Muffleville.

Why not go back to 9 handed? As they start reopening more and allowing more people to flock to the casino and poker room, it wouldn’t be fair to make players wait if they have enough space to seat more players at a table. I mean the eventual goal is hopefully reaching pre-pandemic conditions and going back to “normal”. 9 handed also means more money on the table and most recs prefer 9 handed poker , they just fear playing short handed poker. I rather make them comfortable.

It's of course in the room's best interest to go back to 9, they definitely will eventually.

not really most of the games are rake games and they make more 7 handed than 9

I played in the 10/10 nl today, I was on tilt because of all the walkers, the game was typically five handed. Kudos to those who enjoy playing this short.

Saw there was a 150-300 mix game running yesterday.
How much money do you need to sit at that table ?? Wow

It's a limit game.

Minimum is 10xBB, so 1500. Realistically most will (probably, I have never played in it) sit with 5000-10000, and potentially rebuy after that.

I dunno about COVID times, but this game used to run with some regularity on Tuesdays. Not sure if it ran weekly, but it might have.

Might be 3k min at parx.. regardless 5-10k is right.

150 goes everyweekend at borgata. Not an anomaly or an abnormal limit. Prob plays like 10-25 nl roughly.

the phillies are being allowed 100 percent attendance in mid june which is probably good news for those who want 9 handed back

I rather have table changes before going full ring or even removing barriers. Parx is the only one who doesn't allow it which is why I play more at other rooms.

Aria LV already took away the barriers which is a good start.
