Their divider seems to be a lot better than other rooms but perhaps that's just personal preference.

Get the Bravo app, wait lists were indeed super deep last two weekends and not calling ahead would cost time for sure!

The divider here is by far the best one I've played, because you can see the board from every seat without looking through plastic that sometimes gets blurry/foggy/dirty.

First time seeing the PLO action at Parx, is this standard ? I mean the volume of games and the stakes of these games I’m seeing listed on Bravo are absolutely insane ! Just wanted to get a gauge of if this was standard.

Looks about standard for a Tuesday night, which is typically a big night at Parx

Thanks for response. This is wild; I live in Boston and didn’t realize a place like this was within driving/ weekend trip material. Guessing games can’t look too different on the weekend ( even if Tuesday is big night ).... must be a lot of PLO pros in this area then.

Played there Sun and Mon. 7 handed sucks. Walkers leave game short and my PLO game broke. 6/12 OE not going as much.

It may suck, but its better than the alternative.
Personally I think Parx is killing it, as usual.

Is 7 handed the state or Parx's call? 8 handfd would be better.

How is it audibly? I was shocked at Borgata how hard it was to hear anyone

Acceptable enough, especially if youre in the 4 seat. If youre 1-2 trying to talk to 6-7 you will definitely have to raise your voice a bit.

Why were you shocked? Everyone is wearing a mask over their face and there's plexiglass between everyone. Of course it's gonna be harder to hear. We learn to adjust. You'll get used to it.

Thinking of heading down tomorrow, a Tuesday, which I suspect is still the busiest weekday at Parx. What time do wait times start to get bad (i.e., when should I arrive by or not at all) if people know? Thanks!

7 handed is awesome
As much as I want things to go back to normal it will suck when poker goes back to 9 handed.

If people walked and your game broke it was a total anomaly as I haven't had this happen once post covid in plo here.

I just didn't realize how muffled it would be, I feel bad for disparaging others who complained in past months lol. Like you said though, not a huge deal, easy enough to adjust, and I think the dealers did a great job of repeating quieter players action and running the game in general

It should be a great day. Warm weather, stimulus check$, these are some of the best times for live poker. I'll be there tomorrow too, planning to get in by 11 (but that usually changes) but I've gotten in as late as 2 or 3 on a weekday and didn't have to wait too long for 2/5. hmu if you're there

Awesome, thanks so much for the information. Key to know that even if I can't get there until after lunch, I shouldn't be stuck waiting for hours. Will definitely hit you up if I head down. Cheers!

Any word on when tournaments will start back up?

Just found out something interesting about 1/2 NL. I recently has a chat with the dealer and ask if he think we ever get 1/2 back in the room, his answer is no. Apparently they are earning more rake from 1/3 vs. 1/2.

This is good for the game since it force the nitty 1/2 players to play 1/3 now and you could see they struggle with the deeper in stack size.

Yep 1/2 is done imo, too many no flop no drop situations. They want the drop obviously

Next Tuesday I am going to play at Parx, I've never been there before. I'll be coming from Delaware County on the turnpike. When I get there is there a better place to park or doesn't it matter. I'm used to parking in the surface lot at Borgata which is close to the poker room and makes for easy in and out.
One more thing, I understand Tuesday is a busy day but when does the wait for seats start ?

Parking anywhere is fine, it’s not a huge casino, but the NW side entrance, closest to Richelieu road and Liberty Bell restaurant on google maps, is closest to the poker room.

I can’t tell you about waits, but to get a good answer you’ll probably need to tell us what games you plan to play.

I'll probably play 1/3 or 2/5, if that makes any difference.

For example, last Friday I was around 60th on the wait list, there were 11/12 tables running at 1/3 and it took me 1h and 45 min to get a spot. They are as efficient as they can be, much more aggressive about bagging people who have left, but understandably there is still a wait with a long list. Bravo Poker information about wait list is accurate enough to estimate your time. But some amount of wait time is guaranteed almost any day.

There's no garage, so all they have is surface parking. The best place to park for poker is near the side entrance in the main (bigger) building. When you enter, the poker room is in the back left corner. It's the closest entrance for poker. Just watch the hidden "speed bumps" if you're there for the first time, and don't pay too much attention to the signs. The first time you're there you will probably drive around the building a couple times.

I'm there today (tuesday) got in at 1:30 and since I called in for 2/5 I was seated right away. Call in at the number on bravo when you're an hour away and you won't have much of a wait at all (not sure if you can call in for 1/3).

You can also call in for 1/3, def call in hour ahead of time. I got there at 12 today calling in at 1130 and waited about twenty min to get my 1/3 seat. Granted I’m only 5 miles away lol . Ended up at plo, those lists take longer to move.
