2 questions:

-Do we get automatic reduced rake when it’s short handed? What is the reduced rake schedule for NL and PLO?

-Do supervisors get to keep the tips you hand them? Or do all the tips go in a community toke box for supervisors?

Thanks.

Thanks, good to know. Can you please elaborate on the can't tip floor on east coast rule? I see people openly handing supervisor tips and they accept it?

Most casinos on the east coast do not allow supervisors to accept tips. This is definitely true at parx.

I work in two casinos in Maryland and supervisors cannot accept tips at either of them.

So what happens when you hand a supervisor a tip? They say “sorry I can’t accept this?”

If they do anything except for that, they risk being terminated. I have heard cases of floor people accepting tips and then giving them to dealers, specifically during tourneys where it will go into the tip pool, but as someone who was a supervisor I will say that is a risky move.

Also risky, I have heard about supervisors being asked to meet a player who won a bad beat jackpot outside of the casino to tip him. This is probably less risky oh, but you can still be terminated for it. In fact I've heard of a supervisor who was in that exact scenario.

Supervisors can be tipped at both mgm and live.

News to me about MGM though I only work there for the annual PPO tournament and actually deal with the travelling crew far more closely than the local staff so that's possible for sure.

I've only played at live. At Hollywood where I have worked for over five years, supervisors cannot accept tips.

I saw in the FAQ you have to pay for alcohol in the poker room, does the same go for the rest of the casino?

I believe drinks are free in the rest of the casino. But that is correct you have to pay for alcohol in the poker room.

Is there a significant increase in cash game traffic during the Big Stax Series?

I believe they cancel the high hand promotion during the Big Stax and the room still fills up. So I suppose the answer is yes....

Was just looking at Bravo, it looks like they aren't doing high hand promotions for July except for the days they're holding the drawings for June high hand winners, is that accurate?

Interesting. Seems like Sugarhouse just went the other way around the same time and has at least free bottled beer. Weird.

SugarHouse and Chester have free hard liquor too.

Parx is just taking advantage of their geographic positioning (close to NYC, North Jersey, NE Phila, Bucks County, etc...), that they can get away with no free drinks and no high hands most of the time.
