Sadly the promotions regs would demand that virtually every pot (not including chops) would take $1--gotta be per hand dealt to be "fair" with the 1/2 and 1/3 tables. And certainly not up to Parx' discretion. Those things are pretty tightly regulated at the state level.

Also assume the $5/half would be quite the take reduction for Parx--anyone else in the area have anything that good?

(I dont disagree with your sentiment, its just likely not realistic).

That is incorrect. Borgata takes the promo dollar at $20 for 1/2 and $50 for 2/5 (10BB for both games).

SugarHouse used to take the promo dollar at $20 for 1/2 and $50 for 2/5 until they switched it to taking it at $20 for both games. So, certainly its up to the casinos' discretion. The part that makes it "fair" is that if they take it at $50 for 2/5, then if the high hand hits at 2/5 and the pot has less than $50, then the high hand is ineligible.

I’ll stand by the unfair piece. Too easy for players to beg for a call to get the number.

But whatever the gaming commission approves and whatever the casino is willing to take- I guess vote with your feet if their are competitive options.

How long does it normally take? And how is the competition?

5-6 hours, almost always a chop.

Competition is a really subjective question. There is a mix of solid players as well as some people who have no idea what they are doing.

Yes, no re-entrys. I would suggest downloading the Bravo App to see history of #'s. This is a shot of the past 5 weeks.

Does anybody here know if the sportsbook offers comps based on activity? Is there even an option to use the players card there?

An option for those leaving Parx going WEST on the turnpike:

Sometimes the ramp onto 1 is screwed up- the dreaded double merge followed by the immediate exit by the Indian Motorcycle dealership. If you get a timid driver or two it can awhile-or worse 1’s right lane can make merging a nightmare.

Instead you can go out the north end of the lot and
Right on Richelieu. Cross over the turnpike.
Left on Rockhill. Stay on it past the mall and go Under 101.
Left on Horizon (opposite the 1 ramp)
Left on turnpike entrance past Red Robin.

This dumps you directly at the very right of the toll booths which is great as the West ramp is on the immediate right as well.

Probably a little longer in time unless there is a backup on the Street Road/1 ramp. But it is guaranteed to be low stress/hassle.

Good tip. I hate that merge.

As a bonus, there is fast food off Horizon which is how I stumbled on this in the first place.

I made a bet there for the Superbowl. They didn't ask if I had a players card. Normally they always ask.

Parx must not like money. Easily four tables worth of rake sitting around twiddling thumbs due to lack of dealers. There must be a temp pool somewhere for the tournament tables?

Yea kinda like they should move the anniversary day to the old room. The day when they do $500 high hand every 15 min. The wait list is insane that day. Easy 100 on the wait list. Not enough tables.
