Lol maybe you are technically correct but it seems like the best way to phrase it as the side closest to old room

Up is north... this shouldn't be that difficult...

Anyone have pics of the new poker room? I typically prefer Sands since it's slightly less depressing but Parx is like only 10 mins farther for me. Might pay it a visit again.

About 150 yards from the closest entrance.

totally. it's almost like I should have said "Park on the northwest side (near the entrance closest to where the old room was), and go in the side entrance there, closest to Chickie and Pete's."

How bad is parking in the Bensalem and other suburbs of Philly? I don't live in a major city so am not looking forward to constantly have parking problems my car being towed constant parallel parking etc, is it only like that downtown Philly or should I expect it in other areas

I’ve never had a parking issue in bensalem. It’s definitely not like Philly.

I’m also not averse to parallel parking so you might have a different experience.

Thanks so just quickly, which neighborhoods/townships do I want to stick to in the area when driving into for restaurants/shopping if I don't want to go into Philly especially on the weekend. Wouldn't want to go further south of Philly into Camden so like Trevose, Mt Holly etc. Fill me in please on the safer other places or correct me. Thanks kindly.

There’s a pretty wide selection of restaurants and shopping right near Parx. All “strip mall” stuff so parking lots, not streets. No issues getting towed. Granted stuff there is mostly going to be chain restaurants and stores but certainly all you need if you are at Parx playing poker for a week or so.

If you wanted to get adventurous and head into other neighborhoods (and I completely understand why you would), I’ll let others elaborate.

Thanks. Looking forward to some other replies. Am also curious as to how many people estimate buying for 1k when a new table opens at 2/5 and how game quality is in comparison to MD live for 2/5 for those who have played a decent amount of both. Thanks again

Heard from someone that was up there recently that you no longer get ANY $$$ in comps for time played in the poker room. How can this even be true?

FAQ said it was only .90c per hour and it went directly on your card but now it's nothing? Guy said he played 4 hours and no $$$ appeared on his card?

It is not true. At least, I am still able to get food comped on my card based only on poker play.

Does anyone in the new room have or been issued a box? Is there a waiting list or is it tough to get one? I have played 40/80 and 10/10 off and on throughout the years.

To get a box you need to demonstrate a history of play. I'm not sure if they also look at the size of the game you're playing - they might.

There appeared to be some available boxes still when I looked earlier this week, but not very many. I'm not sure whether this means they are all reserved but some people just haven't made it back to claim theirs since the room moved, or whether they have cleared the lists and boxes are now available.

Your best bet is to walk to the room supervisors desk in the window in the back corner of the room (to the right of the cage) and ask. They will probably request your card and ID so they can look up your play history. Then they'll let you know the status. Note that you now have to pay a $100 (refundable) deposit on the box to get it.

It’s a large parking lot that seems relatively unpatrolled. I think your rotting corpse could be in car for a week or so and no one would notice

no chance it gets towed.some people play poker/table games for longer than you'll be gone.

size of game definitely matters.
when i asked they asked me what games i played (mostly 5/5 plo with some 2/2 and 10/10 mixed in)
they told me with my hours if it was all 10/10 they would give me one but since it was mostly 5/5 i needed to play more.
If I had a box i would definitely play 10/10 more often.

this makes total sense as the lower you play the less money you need and the easier you can just get a few buy ins from the atm.
