Rounding up to increments of 5 post-flop sure would speed up the game. It would also help if you could straddle for 5 instead of 4.

Just my two cents as an outsider

Why it was never a 5 bring in idk. That is the traditional way I've always played it but it works

I don't even mind letting people limp for 2 if they want. It seems like it leads to more players playing bad hands (the "anything is good for $2" thought process). That being said, the post flop play or it being bet pot and later repot preflop seemed to slow down a couple of the daytime dealers on Wednesday (though in general the dealers were very good)

Whatever works though, I was just curious. When paying time, I'm all in favor of anything that speeds up the game.

I could have sworn when i called in for 2-2 PLO the lady said max buy in was $700..i was a little taken back and it actually influenced my decision to go to borgata instead to play 1/2 PLO where max is $500 lolol

Personally I'd be at Harrahs where the circuit events are through the 20th. All games have been great. Steamed tourney players who are trying to force hands at a cash game equals +EV

Taking a trip out to Parx this weekend. Looking to play 2/5 or T/T as I see it runs on weekends sometimes. Is the T/T significantly harder/reggy than the 2/5 games? Worth it to play?

Thanks

Definitely full of refs more than 2/5. There's no intermediate game such as 5/5 or 5/10 so the bankroll restrictions make it more reg infested with the exception of Tuesday or during major tournament series.

One other side note everything seems to play big at Parx. 1/2 is like Borgata 2/5 and 2/5 when I used to play it there was like 5/5. So I think you'll like the 2/5 if you're interested in 10/10. Gl 200-1K buy in

Is it true that the most recent hit of the bad beat for $333,000 was on a limit game?

Was anyone there when it hit?

I was not there, but I just asked. It was a 1-2 game, royal vs Q hi SF.

None of the limit games that run currently are eligible anyway.

Thanks. Had a hard time believing it was at a limit game. But again, it was second-hand info that I received.

Why are the limit games not eligible? Just curious ...

LHE, both because they are time raked, which makes dropping the jackpot dollar more annoying, and because the games chose not to at some point when the BBJ was first instituted. In point of fact, the 2-4, 3-6, or 4-8 LHE game would be eligible I believe, but they haven't run in a year or more.

OE, same as above, plus it is OE which would hit the jackpot much more often and would be unfair to pool together with holdem.

Just watched a live stream on Parx facebook page that the poker room is going to be moved to the main casino instead of Parx East.

I saw it as well. They said they're modeling it after Wynn in Vegas which is probably the nicest room I've ever played in as far as looks. If you watch the stream at around the 12:20 mark you can see it for yourself and skip all the BS.

As far as I know, there's no specific date for when this will happen or when it will be completed by.

They've been talking about doing it for years. If it ever happens it should be net positive For room and customers.

There has been construction going on around the property, who knows if it's related.

As mentioned, they've been talking about it for a while, I guess we're finally nearing committal.

This article says construction is expected to be completed by November. Also will be adding an event center (and new restaurants). Wonder what kind of acts they'll be booking.

As we get closer, I'll see if I can get any inside scoop.

Think there was an issue with the previous hosting site as per their twitter.

What's up with them being nazis about alcohol? If I want to have a few drinks and blast away they discourage that?

2 drinks per hour maximum, I saw them kick a players wife and him out for sitting behind him having a good time, she wasn't being obnoxious whatsoever just talkative. And on 2 occasions they wouldn't serve me at the bar when I was being talkative because I guess that means I'm drunk.
