There is a hotel on the far side of the parking lot. Definitely walkable. Others are a little farther away, you'll get a bit of a workout if you walk to them.

Parx is not really well accessible without a car. The OP of this thread contains some info about how you might get there from PHL - you'll basically end up taking some combination of train and bus, unless you want to cab or uber it the whole way. Hit the SEPTA website for more info.

Any general tips regarding parx? In going later this week for 200
Big staz and have never been there. Best place on property to get quick food? Also does the room compare to foxwoods or borgata at all? I assume it's prolly a step down from those two but step above turning stone?

Also are bigger tournies played in poker room or conference room? Finally cash games any good during the week or better off playing on weekend? Looks like a good casino with awesome mtt series so im really looking forward to visiting.

Finally any chance they run daily tournies during 200
Big stax? I would rather play a few dailies vs cash but seems most places stop dailies during a bigger event.

Parx is a better room IMO than Borgata. The quality of dealers is superior. 9 round vs 10 round and charging port at every table. Games play bigger than Borgata as well. I played almost exclusively at Borgata for years and have starting playing at parx 3X a week minimum about 8 months ago. More fish on the weekend but 5/5 PLO 10/10 NLH run every day from 4PM on. 6/12 OE 1/2, 2/5, and 1/3 NLH run pretty much 24/7.

As far as food they do have table side menu, but walk to the main casino and try Chickie and Petes. Great food. The poker room is a stand alone building. Idk if the night time dailies are suspended. The only daytime daily is Wed, Sat, and Sun. Sure they're not running.

I'm sure you'll like the room and want to come back. Better quality of players than your average room that's for sure. Very well ran and managed room. Gl

I believe between 1am and 2am + time to bag and collect the min-cash afterwards.

For those who are interested, I ran the numbers for Big Stax 200 since the tournament is using a somewhat unusual payout structure:
Total entries: 2143
Total survivors: 324

Total prizepool = 2143 * $170 = $364,310
Total portion of the prizepool paid out to Day 1 Survivors at the End of Day 1 = 324 * $400 = $129,600

Total portion of the prizepool going to the "main" pool: $234,700

The game was listed as HOSE but they were playing Hold Em, Omaho 8/B, Super Stud and Razz when I went to play the 200 and saw the game running. It looks like the people playing can basically choose, as everyone wanted to play 2-7 except one person.

Thought the tournament was well run and I liked getting paid after making through Day 1.

However, that money is not being reflected on our Hendon Mob pages.

I emailed Mr. Entenman and haven't heard back yet.

I look forward to playing more of these in the future.

The important part is the money being reflected in our money clips or rubber bands for that matter.

Separate day 1 400 entries have been entered on hendon.

Don't really love the 400 payouts. They took forever to payout on day 1, lowered the average day 2 stack due to slow bubble play, and take money away from the top spots. Then again, I mincashed + 1, so how can I complain this time?

The payouts were atrociously slow at the end of Day 1E. I was at the last table to get paid and was there over an hour after the bubble had burst.

Other than that I really enjoyed the tournament.

Hey I would have to disagree. I went for 200 tourny and cashed in it. Will say the room is great compared to where I normally play however it doesn't touch borgata. Borgata/foxwoods are still cream of the crop no questions asked bc you get free booze and the poker rooms are massive. Parx is awesome though I must admit if that's closest to where someone lives compared to other two. I think the deep stacks is prolly best structure of northeast tournies not
Over 1k.

The dealers kinda irritated me at parx. They never would say bet size when someone made a bet and I always had to ask when sitting at 8 seat far away from middle of pot so seeing chips and being color blind hurt me. Also I brought some liquor and one of the dealers made a drink when she saw me pour some in my drink. I was buying drinks there so it wasn't like I was giving them money when I would buy a drink. Also I wouldn't recommend a tourny there. Sure their were a lot of soft spots but I late regged my first mtt entry and everyone at my table was solid. No open limps lol.

I'd rather go to turning stone and know I'll have 4 old guys at my table that are clueless when it comes to effective tournament play. Sorry if this post is complaining a lot. I thought the poker room + horse track made parx attractive. The Casino was a letdown but I don't play many tables games so didn't really bother me.

looking at ur location, (broke under a bridge) most of us might not feel safe if we asked u for a ride instead of Uber. I'd change this.
