Any impact on the parx due to NJ online poker ?

Impossible to say. There are many other confounding factors, too. (Holidays, weather, borgata tournies, economy changes, etc.)

Did they announce dates for the next Big Stax(5) series?

I don't think there are any plans for valet at Parx East.

Comps: $1/hr for most tables, $2/hr for higher limit games (10-10 NL and up, 15-30 limit and up).

Otherwise: nothing. I've been meaning to stop by and ask Bill if we will ever see promos again now that we have Big Stax x 4.

Was playing the 6/12 OE game late. It gets short and everybody wants to do Omaha only. Apparently the floor would rather the game break so that's what happened.

I'm thinking of going to Parx for the first time tomorrow, I am a diamond card holder from AC. Do they have any promo's for showing diamond card or Borgata Black card? ( free slots or free upgraded card? )

i'm pretty sure no, the best way to ask though would be to go to the main casino(the poker room is in the "east" or smaller building) and ask in there.

Played the 6/12 OE for the first time this week. Must say it is a very good game. I enjoyed the game and the room quite a bit. Certainly one of the better rooms I've played in. The fact that they have the table numbers up above in plain view is a great idea. Don't know why more casinos don't do that.

One question, do the comps expire after any period of time, either after being earned, or if you don't earn another point for some time? I left with some on my card, and not sure how soon I'll make it back down.

NVM that question....I found on their site where they expire 90 days from being earned.

Still open, not that much new to say I guess.

I was there on Sat, and there were 4 completely full tables of 6-12 OE going for several hours. When I left at 1am, there were still 3 full tables. I had been there for over 12 hours, and I was still at the second table in the must-move chain. It was crazy.

I haven't yet seen Bill yet to ask about whether we'll ever see another freeroll or any other sort of comp promotion. I hope so, but don't have any reason to think they will. In related news, I seem to have finally run out of comp money. Having to pay for food again is another annoyance I had forgotten about, which makes me slightly less likely to come to the room in the long haul.

The fruit bowl is still an abysmal mess, especially if you order it late at night. I keep ordering it, hoping it will be better, and keep getting disappointed. Everything is soggy, or limp, or bitter, or actually smells like it is rotting. It is disgusting.

Yeah I love Parx but the virtually non-existent comps is a real bummer and should be changed.

When last I stayed at the InnPlace, I think they said there will no longer be a poker rate starting this year. Confirmed?

Comps from poker are exactly the same as borgata et all...unless you factor in the free rooms which are nice, but no rooms = no ac for me anyway.

A promo would be nice, has there been one since Ari left? Anything would be nice..rake back..free roll...as long as it's not paid for by players : )

Comps are the same (as they were previously), but food price has gone up marginally while quantity (and quality) have decreased significantly.

it's also possible i lost some to the 90 day window, though that seems unlikely. i always had plenty so i never checked on my balance, until a rude awakening a few weeks ago.

i think they "play X hours in the month and get some rackback" promo was the last one, and I was traveling for much of that month so I didn't get to participate. It was probably a year ago - I seem to remember it being last December.

No they are not. Borg comps $1.50/hr for 1-2 and higher for higher limit games besides the free rooms and the amphora/$10 buffet if you have a black card. AFAIK Parx comps $1/hr for all games.

Parx is $2/hr for 15-30 LHE and 10-10 NLHE and up, the rest are $1/hr. I'm not sure where the PLO games fall.

They are $1.50/hr for 1/2. They are even $1.50/hr for 3/6 limit. You can look at the first page of the Borgata thread for all their comp rates.

Thanks for the info. I just knew they were still $1/hr for the $5 PLO and 2/5. Ran past it too far on the FAQ.

And they have bonus comp months pretty much every month where there isn't a tourny series.
