Septa, if you can figure out a schedule that works for you. Believe there is a route planner on their website.

You could take a cab, probably not worth it.

I saw that the 6/12 Hold em game went off last night, did anyone on here play it ?

Was it really $4 per half rake ??

I will be there tonight, hope we can get it going again, or a Big O game.

I put Penn Station to Parx Casino in Google Maps using Public Transportation for the hell of it. This seems to be the simplest and might also be the cheapest way:
  • At Penn Station, take the Acela Express (Amtrak) towards Washington Union Station (1 hour, 5 minutes) to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia
  • At 30th Street Station, take the MFL (SEPTA Train) towards Frankford Transportation Center (26 Minutes) to Frankford Transportation Center
  • At Frankford Transportation Center, take Bus 50 to Parx Casino (50 Minutes)
Of course there is waiting involved depending on what time you are going. But this seems painless and doesn't leave for a lot of walking in possibly unfamiliar areas.

As for the cost, Amtrak is $53 each way and you can take SEPTA for $3.25 ($2.25 + $1 transfer) though you can save a little bit buying SEPTA tokens for $1.80 each.

You can definitely take a bus from NYC to Philly for A LOT cheaper than $106 round trip. Probably would take a few minutes longer though

According to GotoBus.com the VIP Tours bus stops at 2842 St Vincent St, Philadelphia, PA 19149 where you can, with minimal walking, take the SEPTA Bus 1 or Bus 50 to Parx. It costs as little as $15 however the bus ride is 2 1/2 hours and it only runs a couple times a day.

The Yo!Bus takes two hours and only offers one stop - the Greyhound Terminal at
1001 Filbert Street. It costs $12 however SEPTA from there will involve at least one transfer (some options have more), walking through neighborhoods which may not be great and a trip of up to an hour and 45 minutes - and that's after the two hour bus ride.

BoltBus from Penn Station to 30th Street Station is $16 each way (average)!

It's probably faster and cheaper to get to Parx from NYC if you take NJ transit from NYC to Trenton, and then the Trenton line to Philadelphia and get off at the stop closest to Parx and cab it. I forget the stop closest to Parx (Croydon Heights, maybe?) but I'm sure someone else knows.

Has the 6/12 LHE been running everyday? What time does it generally start?

I see from the live game report that it's running right now. If it keeps up I'll likely play tonight.

I haven't seen (from the Bravo app) that it necessarily gets off or runs until any certain time.

I did play today got in the game around 130 and had to leave at 5, the game had big swings in players, twice we insta went from full down to 4-5 handed but kept it going to get refilled. Was a pretty decent game as well.

Another great turnout for today's bounty tournament. 215 runners...

Of course I only won one hand all day, so I am already home enjoying a cocktail.

See ya next Sunday.

The limit games seem to be random as far as when they go. I checked the Bravo app a bunch of times yesterday and neither the 3/6 nor the 6/12 ever went that I saw. Right now (1030pm Sunday) the 3/6 is listed but no 6/12.

Weekends are the thinnest times for all limit games other than 6/12OE.

Played 1-2 Big O the other night. The only downfall seemed to be the 300$ max buy-in at the time. Seemed like an all-in fest every hand with the stacks.

Tuesday nights traditionally have high stakes games running.

Usually higher / more selection when the WSOP or other big events aren't conflicting.

I'm pretty sure I've seen bigger games listed on the Bravo app when Glantz is around.

You really must not look frequently. Once all those guys get back from the wsop there are 400/800 and sometimes bigger running every week. Sometimes several times a week.

This game was running last night. Had between 6-8 players throughout night.

The PLO's and Big O's have really started taking off.

A lot of players are expressing interest in expanding the max buy in for the BIG O from 300 to either 500 or 1000.
