I can agree with this, I wish there was more interest in LHE here, every time I check out the games(or should I say game) that's running it looks like a retirement community table.
I come to have a good time and I just can't bring myself to sit down at these tables.

I am hoping the new games might help the popularity.

6/12 would be perfect for me, but I don't play O/E. So I hope they can spread this with some regularity.

Yeah I thought so (that the rake is too much to beat in a low stakes LHE game) but I meant while I was in the casino, b/c I live close enough to Parx that I go there for NLHE. I've just never tried playing O8 live, so I thought I'd try it out if the play was soft enough. I'll probably just go this weekend and try it out.

Saw that it's $4/half hour rake. Should help the game go imo, better deal than $5/hand on $3/6.

Where did you see the $5 a hand? I don't see that anywhere?

No idea, but I'd assume it has to be larger than that. If I go tonight I'll try to remember to find out.

I saw that it was running yesterday and it made me regret that I stayed home haha.

IDK if it's any different for limit, but Rake in NLHE at Parx is 10% up to 5 dollars. I assumed it's the same for limit, but don't actually know.

They're setting up a bad beat jackpot. I don't really want them to, because there's already plenty of traffic for NLHE there, but if it brings in significantly worse play I'm OK with it.

I was always under the impression that limit games were typically timed rake, not per hand rake.

Can anyone confirm/deny this ?

If you ask the employees there, they give an approximate that they're shooting for, but I forgot what month they said. Later this year, though.

No, smaller games (NL, limit) are often pot raked. typically, once you get to a higher sized game of some amount, that it what causes the game to switch to a time charge.

I honestly can't remember for sure, but I *think* the 4-8 that runs now is pot raked.

I was told July when I was there a few weeks ago. I think being so close to July there would be an actually announcement if it were to start 7/1.

As of last night none of the tables had the drops installed yet (or at least I didn't see any), so I doubt it's imminent, but who knows.

there is one table in back where the screws for holding the toke box were installed on the corner of the rail, rather than flat against the table. it is extremely annoying and uncomfortable if you're in the 1 seat. I really hope that is not the plan for creating space for the new drop slide where the toke box used to be.

I noticed that on the Tuesdays, they have 100+20 listed, I really hope that they make the structure better than their daily tournaments' on that, especially if they're going to list as part of their deep stax series.

As someone else pointed out, Parx skips a few levels that I think are basic.

cardplayer constantly wrongly calls limit O8/B as plo8. I've seen it 3 times this month

Yeah, I concur. I can only play every other Saturday, but I hope that 6/12 catches on.

Why not 8/16? more chips...oh well. 6/12 is at least better than that yucky 4/8 game....

I agree about 8/16 with the $2 chips. Parx has made a few attempts to get the game going since the room opened. They all failed, there's just not enough of a player base for the game.

6/12 should entice the 4/8 players looking to move up. The $4 time charge is nice also.

3/6 is looking like the game the eventual BBJ chasers will play...

I played in it once, 2 or 3 weeks ago. It had 160-165 players.

Yeah that is a super deal. Clearly a big effort to promote the game.
