What would the buy in be? $23+10? Seems crazy and not worth it.
Fair enough, it could work with 10 minute blind levels if there was enough interest though. If not obv. it'd make no money for them, and not be worth it to run.
I was thinking 46 + some fee. Seeing as Parx tournament fees are pretty reasonable (10 dollars for the 60+10 bounty, 15 on the 80+25 bounty, 20 on the 100 tournament and 30 on the 200, -3 from prize pool for dealers in all) I don't think they'd do a 10 dollar fee for a satellite, but I do think they'd have to make blind levels really short. The thing is, if they can get 100 players, then that's 100*fees for them, which would probably only cover costs, plus 10 entrants for the next days tournament (an extra 300 in fees for the house.) The fees on satellites can be slightly smaller if they attract enough players. I know that some casinos do run satellites for like 22+3, but those are in the morning before the tournament. I'd think the main reason for it would be to boost attendance to their Saturday tournament, which I'd think is worth it if they can at least break even on running the satellite.
(Although obv. it may just be better for them to run a normal tournament that night, and maybe the reason they run no tournament is that they make more money when people play cash, and so they don't run a tournament on Fridays knowing that. I don't know the trends and stuff so everything I'm saying is based off complete non-sense estimates lol)
