That should be fine.

As noted above, it's about right. Most buy in for 1-2 racks of blues in the 6-12 OE game.

The 10-10 game was originally a 5-10 game, they switched it when the $10 chips were unveiled and used, to make the game simpler. I think the belief is that they basically play the same, though it's not my game so someone else may be able to give more insight and can also answer your other questions.

With the 200bb cap on the 2/5 games, what are most people buying in for, full?

5/10 is not currently spread but the 2-5 does play bigger than most 2-5s other places. Max buyin is good for that game.

For 10-10, I would recommend a minimum 1500 buyin unless you are ok being a shorter stack.

Anyone know if the daily tournaments are still running during the series ?

I would like to play in the Sunday bounty if they are having it.

Thanks in advance

Normal tournaments resume next Tuesday, only Big Stax tournaments this week.

Just have enough in your stack to not go all in. It's limit so as long as you start a hand with 150 on the table you will almost never get it all in at 6/12. 300/600 sounds good.

Personal peeve. Don't short stack as a routine. I don't know why people dwindle to 25 bucks and either don't walk away or top off. They either put it in way behind with crap or they hit a hand and miss tons of value.

I get uncle tilty coming to visit at the end of a long bad session. Just not nursing a short stack for an hour then short buying and doin it again. Side pots in split games can really slow things down.

Grunching, might be taking a trip down there in a couple hours. Is there usually a long wait Friday nights? If so, is there a number I can call before I get there to get my name on the list?

There is a 5-0 PLO game that runs periodically, maybe a few times a week. 5-5 PLO also runs from time to time.

At table 3 in the 1-seat playing 1/2 right now. This was my third hand:

Pocket Kings under the gun. Raise to 11. Short stack raises to 20. Another reraises to 70. I fold Kings preflop for the first time in my life. They both had aces. I dodge bullets, baby.

Come by and say hi!

Had anyone noticed the recent, serious lack of waitresses on the floor lately?

Been there three times in the last 2 months. It's terrible. Have to get up to eat or drink. Less rake. Doesn't make sense.

In my opinion you shouldn't go to Parx then. If having to get out of your seat to eat is really that big of a problem then just don't play there. Parx certainly has issues and getting drinks is easier in other places. But like there are plenty of poker rooms, including the best one in Atlantic City imo, that do not even allow you to eat in the room, yet that somehow never seems to be an issue for people. There's so many good things about Parx and it's driving me nuts how terrible you're trying to make it sound just because it's not the same as what you're used to in terms of how the limit games are spread and the fact that food and drink service aren't top notch.

Prolly had something to do with the BigStax Series happening as the same waitresses are used in the other room where the tournaments are happening.

There are also a few new waitresses who just completed training and are now out on their own

As much as I enjoy looking at the waitresses, I think I'd prefer if they served drinks ballpark style- a guy carrying around a tub of ice filled with beer, soda, and water that you could get on the spot. Maybe a few waitresses for getting special orders.

When did I say anything about limit games? I said I didn't like having someone who didn't want to wait put in front of me on the board. Big difference.

At Parx can you basically just get up and move to another table if there is an open seat or do you have to check with the floor? It seemed like this was allowed when I was there. I think that would be pretty cool as I have not seen this anywhere else. Is this actually the case?

You can pretty much get away with it a lot of the times. There isn't enough floor to keep an eye out on habitual table transfer-ers. The dealers should be verifying with the floor that it is ok for a player to sit especially when tables are unbalanced or at peak hours when there is a list. The problem has existed forever.

When I was playing $1/2 at Parx last Monday our table got short and I didn't want to play short so I politely started the ask-the-table-if-they-wanna-break discussion.

I was surprised that when others wanted to play short that I was able to leave the table and go fill a table. It's convenient for me, the guy who wants to leave, but not as much for people content to play short so it was surprising to me...

All in all I think parx is a top notch room. This is the one big problem IMO. Ridiculous the way people jump up to a new table. Floor and dealers need to control this as this does effect games. Stuff like drink service slow is not a big deal as that does not effect the game. Same with eating at the table...Though I wish they would not allow it as it slows the game up and frankly the food does not smell or look very good.
