there was a game last friday night. it got called as 1/2 but was changed to 1/3. not sure why.

well, my understanding is that these bus services only ran in the first place because they were subsidized by Parx. The actual market price for an unsubsidized bus service would probably be higher than you used to have to pay, and there would have to be a lot of demand at that higher price in order for the buses to run frequently enough to be generally convenient (i.e. not just a single bus that runs in and out, maybe twice a day, so you're always rushing to finish your session in time to make the one return trip per day).

Showed up Friday at ~9pm with the idea to play 1/2 to degen a little since I haven't played live in a year, then move up to 2/5 and maybe 10/10 if the game was good. Obviously the 1/2 and 2/5 lists were infinitely long while the 10/10 had a seat open - clearly snap sat, made just under 500 in 2 hrs before getting up as 7 handed with 4 kids + hoodies under 30 = making decisions, and no one wants to do that.

Overall, a solid poker room. Here and Chester's will take all future poker trip business of mine from AC.

That's so awful.

It's such a great factor that they are the one room w/o a BBJ. The rake is already $5. $5+$1 sucks.

The room is a 1/2 NL shop (and they get a TON...more than even the Borg). What are they hoping to achieve? Getting a 2nd 4/8 limit game, one more 2/5 and one or two more 1/2s?

I really wish they could do some kind of poll in the room or something.

If you're a reg...or even a casual couple visits/month player, post in this thread of you're against a BBJ.

From what I heard $1/2 and $2/5 will be bad beat eligible. They only have 45 tables and they got almost 30 $1/2's on a weekend day. I really don't see the point except that they just want more money from us. Obv they can run more promotion but I don't give a **** about a freeroll every now and then. Wish they would keep the rakeback program though.

If you are going to do a BBJ it should be for the whole room.If you are going to rape people for the extra 1.00 everyone should share the cost.Not just the 1/2 causal players.

No BBJ please. I don't play much anymore, but when I do, it's usually at Parx because of the great room and location. 5 is already annoying, 5+1 would be absolutely ridiculous.

Absolutely not. It would be annoying for the dealers and players in an all peach, green or black chip game to cut chips to drop $1 on every hand.

I'm sure the 400/800 guys are gonna love getting $99 in random chips they can't use after every hand they win.

it used to run pretty regularly, but lately saturdays have dried up for the 15. if it gets started by dinnertime it sometimes gets legs through early morning, but otherwise it is a little bit dicey. i wouldn't drive a long time to get there unless you're willing to play OE or NL while you wait, or potentially all night.

two questions :

1) how long does the Saturday MTT usually run?
2) Is it easy to get a cab back to the Holiday Inn throughout the night? (.5 miles away it says)

Of course it will be 5+1.

If it were 4+1 it would be a near unanimous "yes" vote.

4 plus a $1 lotto ticket is better than a flat $5 but it'll ovb be 5+1.
