I think a high hand every 4 hours like Mohegan Sun in CT does is a better and more fun option if a jackpot drop is coming. The payoff is not as high but the odds of hitting it are much better. Obviously no drop is better, but this way the regulars should not be affected as much, since they would actually win once in a while.

Having the dealer cut a $10 chip into whites every hand to drop for the bad beat at 10/10 sounds awesome. Add to the fact that fills will come far more often and the BBJ sounds like a great deal for 10/10 especially since it will be more likely to hit at any other game.

Obviously this came from the monkey's above you cause you have been against this from the very beginning.Sort of wearing it like a badge of honor.
Hope you do not just become one of many with a monkey see monkey do approach.Sadly it probably will not hurt your business and the suits will be right.

IME mostly the bigger games are opted out of the bad beat jackpot therefore no drop. Let the 1/2 players have higher rake and a dream!

No way, either HHJ every few hours or nothing at all. Especially if you care for the players, which I presume is a lie.

Yah, please keep it away from 15/30 also.

What's up with the online game report? Been down for a few weeks now.

I don't play at parx so my opinion is null but I'm against a bbj altogether.

I hope the dealers realize that they might get a big tip if they deal a badbeat hand, but they will get smaller tips from many regulars who watch their bottom line closely. I will play at Parx much less frequently if they start taking a badbeat drop. One of the reasons I drive a little further to Parx rather than go to Chester is to avoid the badbeat rake. It will also make driving to Borgata more feasable because the rake there is only $4+1, and if you stay a couple nights and play 20 or 30 hours, saving that dollar per hand will cover your gas and tolls for the trip.

ARI,

wow first off thx for being here at all and watching this thread.

I understand that you have to consider it, since so many other rooms are having one.

If you do implement one, please do it better than most rooms and also use the drop for other promotions that are easier to attain. I really like how DP is using their promotions by giving away seats to daily's etc.

I'm not so much against it if i have a shot at getting my money back somehow.

Ari, It seems like most of the regs who put in tons of hours are against the BBJ. Of course the BBJ will bring in a lot of new players as well, many who would come specifically for the BBJ. It's a tough dilemma but I have come up with a solution for you. Institute the BBJ, but regulars who put in enough hours get a special players card which gets them free drinks and access to a special new always clean bathroom. What do you think?

It might bring in more players to other games but I don't think it will bring in new 10/10 players.

Actually now that I think about it I kind of like the idea of a BBJ at 1/2 and maybe 2/5. When people hit it they might take a shot at 10/10. On the other hand higher rake means it will take longer for people to move up in stakes because more money is being taken off the table.

Thinking about making a trip down to Prax, how often does this 10/10 nl game run? Uncapped?

The BBJ would be completely awful for the 10/10 game. Please don't bring it to Parx.

Thinking of going here for a few hours today for some 1/2. Not much of a cash game player, but don't have enough time for a tourney.

Do they offer SnG's? if so, will it go off?
