Very true, of course. Can you either post or PM me who you're talking about? Do you play 10-10/have we played together?

I'm thinking of heading down and playing in the noon tourney tomorrow. Does it generally get a decent sized crowd?

Are you talking about the kid who passed away? He asked me for a stake a few months ago. I PM'ed him back and told him I would talk poker with him and someone told me he died like 48 hours later. So surreal and very sad.

Not talking about someone asking for a stake. With a stake you should expect not to get it back sometimes.

I'd rather not divulge names in the thread or via pm either. Take it as a life lesson, not gossip.

Really this was necessary. Of course whoever lent the money knows that now.

When you play in the same room at higher stakes you see the same faces all the time. They become acquaintances and then quasi-friends. I have lent and borrowed money from people who my only connection with is poker. It has been way more reliable than lending sums of money to relatives or friends outside of poker.

I guess it just makes me a little sad when this crap happens and I see no reason to "troll" on the guy whose already out a significant sum of money.

As a side note: if somebody is making no effort to repay they deserve to be put on blast, IMHO.

Dealer can spread the pot if larger denomination chips are not visible otherwise he cannot spread the pot. This is a Parx rule.

For Parx Casino Regular & Semi-Regulars,

Which tables generally provide more consistent profits? NL or FL? I've been there a few times, each time of which I played $300 NL. Each time the tables had at least a few loose passive casuals and a few solid semi-pros.

I've been waiting slowly saving a worthy bankroll and soon will play weekly and eventually, bi-weekly.

This place is way better than Delaware Park Casino in my opinion, and is roughly 40 minutes from my residence.

I'd appreciate any suggestions from regulars. 1 Luv

I checked it out this weekend, quite the few semi-pros, did not run into anyone who played during the week as I am curious about, because I am contemplating a 2 month camp here, interested in a study group forming with some regulars if anyone is interested.

Is time in tournaments treated the same as cash games regarding acquiring enough hours for the 50K freeroll and comps?

Nope, and if you sit down at the cash game, and go play the tourney, as soon as the dealer marks you "out" you no longer accumulate time towards the freeroll. Tried it and failed

There always needs to be 'that guy' both in threads and real life to boast about his street smarts. "Oh your car was broken into? You're probably 1 of those idiots who leaves your GPS on the dash!" I always want to punch that guy despite being lucky enough to never personally have my car f*&ked with.

There is a 5-0 PLO game that runs, but it's been infrequent of late for whatever reason. It now goes a few nights a week.

So why don't you share your reasons for not wanting to play with the 55+ crowd.Myself,I'd rather sit and play with the nutcases from "One Flew Over The Cukoo's Nest",then play with a bunch of 20 something know-it-alls.
give me 8 55 year olds all day

the next time i hear the phrase "fold equity" i'm going across the table

not really, but nothing worse than listening to the 20 and 30 somethings talk about poker, OMGZ A 2 OUTER

You seem like you would be a blast to hang out with...not! Seriously though, forget study groups and talking strategy, that's very nerdy stuff. Maybe the occasional get it in with the best, fold if your behind is ok, anymore then that is overkill. Leave all the strategy stuff to all the online nerds. Consider this a life lesson.
