Games are definitely good, not consistently fishy or juicy, but even a mediocre lineup can be better than the 2/5 games at times. Certainly not slow.

Good luck with you move Mike!

Parx is having the Poker Open Winter Showdown at end of February/beg of March and it seems to me the format is more like SNG's than actual tournament play.

I must have sat in the game two weeks ago during a rare exception. I have never played with more hostile, miserable people in my life in ten years of playing live. Add to that the joke of resturant options in the place and nowhere to use comp dollars at, I will probably never go there again...

Its possible. It hasn't been running much cause of the Borgata tournaments most players have been down there. It's mostly done thought and I"m finally getting over this cold so I'll be there, hopefully we'll get a game.

Games are usually friendly, but you're accurate about the comp dollars and lack of choices. If you can, try playing in the day game. Much more relaxed.

Mike:

The very best of luck with your new job and the move. It was a pleasure playing 10/10 NL with you the few time we were at the same table. Maybe if you get a good stock or other tip you will pass it along (just a joke)

Make lots of money!!!

First of all, you're dreaming about getting $4 at $300. The 1-2 tables are $5 at what, $50? That's probably the best you could hope for, and more likely it would be $6 at 60 or some such.

Second, $6/half for a full table is $108 an hour off the table. The 15/30 probably gets about 40+ hands an hour. even at $3 avg rake (which I highly, highly doubt in any limit game), that would be $120 an hour off the table.

Third, the game thrives on action, not nittiness. Don't punish action.
The Bellagio would rake the 15/30 the way I outlined.

The $12 an hour time is just a killer in the long run when factoring win rate regardless of time pots. I assume it's unlikely but I just wanted to ask.

$14 at 20/40 is better than $12 at 15/30.

$12 is a lot when you are comparing it to nothing, which isn't functional. The difference between what are you are asking for (which is light for rake) and time is minimal and I am going to have to say that time as it stands is still better for the game.

Tax on tables games or specifically poker in Pennsylvania is only 16%. Can you make the rake at 1-2nl a max of $4? Thanks, Ari.

$16@40/80 > $14@30/60 > $14@20/40 > $12@15/30 > $10@10/20

Hmm it's almost like there's a pattern here.

I believe it's 14% and it drops to 12% on the 2nd anniversary of table game introduction. Poker room manager doesnt set rake it may be set by PA gaming commission.
