Is the 4/8 LHE game filled with old nits like a 2/4 LHE game?
It usually starts around noon or so. It can be nitty or loose, depending on who's seated. I'd guess that the average age is 55 or older. 4-5 to the flop is average with an occasional family pot.

Anyone interested in trying to organize some low or mid limit stud over the holidays. 6/12, 10/20, 15/30. Just respond here with some possible dates.

Also, what the scoop on the 10/20 OE game that's been going? Anyone here been at those games - doesn't seem to be a regular time that it goes.

count me in for stud. 5/10 or 10/20 would be good.with an ante of course.

Can't play over the next two days, but starting next week I'd play either 6/12 or 8/16. $1 ante & $2 BI sounds about right.

Not sure what's up with the 10/20 OE. I haven't seen it on the live game report the last two weeks or so.

The other day I folded my hand, and started looking through my music inventory on my iphone. The hand gets to the SB who is on his phone, but hasn't acted yet. The dealer tells the kid to get off his phone. The kid then points to me and asks the dealer to tell me to get off my phone then. The dealer then tells me I need to put my phone away & take off my headphones (srs). At this point this was the third time I got **** for using my phone @ the table. I NEVER use my phone while the cards are being dealt or when I have a hand. I play for a living and I'm at Parx 5-6 days a week.

I was pissed at this point, gathered my chips and told them I'm going to Chester until this is all sorted out. The floor guys who I know heard about this and stopped me on the way out to sort out the issue.

So, message to Ari & Parx. Make sure the dealers truly understand the phone rule. I definitely like the rule since I hate when someone is texting and hasn't acted yet and slows the game up. Just make sure everyone understands it. Maybe even a few signs in the room that say "Players cannot use phone while in a hand" or something might even help idk. It just really bothered the hell out of me the other night when a dealer told me I couldn't wear headphones at the table...lol

I busted out with 48 left around 11:00. They usually finish up by 1:00 or so .. Usually chops before you even get to a final table, although I have seen it play down to a final before chopping. depends on how many spots pay, i.e. 149 players they pay 9, if it hits 150 they pay 18.

I once was involved in a 12 way chop for 1K per man with the two chip leaders getting 1.5K. with 170 players there is 17K in the price pool so even chopping with 17 left each man is getting 1K which is 4th place $$$.

As for the Sat tournaments they get between 80-100 and last 8-10 hrs, couldn't predict if todays will get more b/c of the holiday

New rule is no phone calls or texting at the table at all. Whether in a hand, or not. Listening to music is fine.

Whether in a hand or not should def matter. This is becoming an issue and the rules should be black and white w no gray area. You should let someone else answer this without just repeating things you've heard bc I heard it's ok as long as you're not involved in a hand. I may be wrong who knows but we should just let a more reputable member answer this one AKA ari.

There is a lot of gray area in this matter. For example:

How would a dealer know u are txting rather than going through a playlist??

How come you are allowed to listen to music while you have earbuds in? The earbuds also serves as a hands free device which enables you to communicate w another party at the table.

When someone is expecting an important phone call and checks the incoming call during a hand, is his hand dead?

I'm sure there are more but I'm too lazy right now. Happy holidays!

It is simple to just have a device face down if you have cards in front of you. Totally disallowing any and all devices at the table in or out of hands is an out of the ordinary and draconian rule that would hurt the room in the long run immensely if implemented.

Those buy-ins all seem so low for a WPT event, but I don't know much about tournaments. Any idea on a projected turnout for the main?

I know I told you this in person, but I really think the main event needs to be a $1k-$1500. I understand all the reasons for wanting to keep the series on the smaller side, but I don't think anyone is going to go out of their way to come to Parx for the series you just listed.

Make Friday the 4th a 400-500 tourney. Make the main a 1k-1500. I would bet a decent amount that you pull in >100 runners for a $1k.

As you know I truly appreciate the feedback, and will continue to look and re-look at our business. Its all about testing the market and see what works and doesnt.

Ari,

Are all of these one day tournaments ?

Structures similar to the ones in the Parx poker open I assume ?

Many thanks for the PLO addition and I know alot of people want higher buy ins, but I am curious to see the turnout for this very affordable series. I can finally afford to play in a ME ~ lolz

Schedule looks great for a person with a medium bankroll like myself. I might even be able to re-enter! Will there be sngs/sattellites before/during the series?

Huge to this.

Hoping the structures are goooood.

BriMc gonna have to get to a 5way chop in the PLO just to make gas money and cover the drink tips for that day.
