Word...cause Tues or Wedns works for me. Would be a bunch of tourney players in the room Tues night too.

Can't Thurs. Going out for the LOL-Eagles game. Not necessarily to watch. It'll be to drink, socialize, hang with the boys while the game just happens to be on the TV's

I'll be around for Tuesdays/Wednesdays, just depends on the wife's work schedule. This week its Wednesday. Will be texting everyone about the game Wednesday AM. See you at the tables.

Not sure if I can go this week. Got into a car accident coming back from said game last wednesday. Must have been karma for winning a 3 way all in pot with 30% and breaking the game as the accident was not my fault and I got hit and run. Would have been ironic had I hit and run the game and gotten hit and run.

Anyone else saddened by how little parx has advanced over the past year in how they service customers?
Still no massage girls
Still no vending machines, no gift shop/newsstand
Food service is being stopped
Comps still below par at 2-5
Parking lot still crappy
Still no poker rate at nearby motels
Poker players never alerted to events in casino where waitresses are 3/4 naked!
Still have those assinine $2 chips

Fewer busses also means lesser expenses. They are trying to maximize profits, not revenues.

Just wanted to offer a contrasting opinion. I'm sure all of your concerns (well except maybe for not liking the $2 chips) are valid based on your experiences. I have only played Parx a hand full of times but I do like the room and as a degenerate smoker I like how close to the tables I can light up too. I park way closer to the Poker room than in most AC casinos and probably about the same distance as Borgata and there is no charge to Park.

I don't think they bring in much money from them. Most buses are inexpensive and come with gaming/food vouchers. Some of the people that come in on them, don't spend a single dollar. Additionally there is value to having extra space for other guests that won't be loitering, sleeping, and bathing at the casino.

I think that one of the things is that a lot of the people on the buses don't present their parx card, so they aren't counted as part of the demographic of people as customers of parx. So that kind of flies under the radar. Believe me, though, a lot of the asians play the table games in parx east, especially baccarat.

Yup, Ari and Brandon both do, though not as much as Stan does in the Borgata thread.

Pretty sure Ari is the poker room director & Brandon is just a floor (maybe head floor? and takes the lead with tourney questions/planning)

Ari is in charge of all of Parx East, not just the poker room, but he was a player so he certainly knows the game (unlike some casino managers). I also don't know Brandon's exact title, but "Ari's right hand man" seems to sum it up.

Other poker floors and dealers may troll this thread and these forums, but 2+2 rules prevent them from posting in any official-Parx-capacity.

Stan does post in the Borgata thread a lot more, though it is fair to say that the vast majority of his posts are live game reports, which Parx doesn't need (and neither does the Borgata, really, now that they have a live report online). It is nice to have him at 2+2 so often, of course.

I don't think that's fair to say. He answers pretty much everything directed at him.

That's not to say the PARX guys aren't awesome (they are) but that particular point is incorrect
