Just out of curiousity... why would you need to play 2/5 for an hour. What would happen if you just got up cashed in, chilled for 15 mins, (phone call, talk to someone , whatever).. Then just come back ask for 10/10 and get on the must move. Would the floor say no?

Don't think you are nitty at all, I'm far more a nit.

Regarding matching posters to players, I rarely have an idea about most of you, just the two I had mentioned before and maybe spacecakezzzz I have an opinion, could be totally wrong though. Is spacecakezzz a girl? Obviously kind of a girly name so no real detective work there. I do zero research ashinynickel, I don't even read old posts in this thread or anything.

The floor will tell you that you are angling the system and you will have to play 2/5 for an hour minimum. The best time to pull this maneuver and circumvent the hour minimum would be when the floors change shifts. I've put a lot of thought into this.

Like snamuh said at one point last night the must move was literally 6 pros one decent reg and one semi-fishy reg.

That's the setup that I've seen when I've sat.

It's hard to sit lower when your peers are playing a bigger game, especially if you're well rolled. About a year and a half ago, I made the decision to find the best game in the room and sit there, regardless of the stakes. I'm just trying to see if there's something I'm missing.

Of course, if you're on a heater, every game is easy.

Not losing 80/20 flips twice in a row. If I could avoid those I'd never lose.

before black friday, i was a reg in the shorthanded small stakes limit hold em forum and a reg on stars. Now, i work for parx and am trying to build up a big enough roll to play in AC. PM me for a phone number if anybody is interested

I Understand your your feeling. A few months ago, I made the switch from limit to nl. I had been playing mid level limits for years. Unfortunately, with so few games and must moves, game selection is almost impossible. My bankroll and ego would permit me to sit in the 10/10 game at Park or 5/10 at Borgata. Rational planning for long term success has me comfortably in the 1/2 games. When I focus on that, I could care less where my peers are.

This line alone makes you a massive nit at both poker and life. I happily rat on people like you to the floor. So many 2/5 regs try to exploit the game (in ways like this) at the expense of both Parx rules and social etiquette.

So are you grinding 4/8 limit then?

By "best", I mean the game with the highest hourly return. Variance is also a minor consideration.

Usually I think that's 2/5NL at Parx and 5/10NL at the Borgata. Follows a general pattern I've noticed in several places: the most money to be earned is frequently at the 2nd biggest game in the room.

Settle down dork. Players are always asking the floor for table changes to follow the fishiest players. It happens all the time, there are lots of regulars who do this all the time, sometimes 5+ table changes per night at 2/5. Myself, I rarely change tables, Part of it is because I generally hate the idea of bumhunting both live and online. I'm constantly amazed how how brazen players are about this at parx, as if they don't even care if the fish knows it. The other half is probably laziness and just not wanting to move.

If you think the situation you were referring to regarding the 10/10 is much different then changing tables to follow a fish you aren't to smart a fellar.

Two very different concepts are being addressed here: 1.) table changing at 2/5, and 2.) leaving the main game to instantly sit in the must move at 10/10. The former is an allowed practice in terms of both casino rules and ethics among the players. The latter is neither.

10/10 is a community of the same 30-40 people that all know each other (regs and fish alike). When people instantly leave the main game for the must move, almost every player notices. It signals to the regs that it's okay for some to break the rules - whereas we have code amongst ourselves to not do this out of respect to the 10/10 economy as a whole. It also signals to the fish that they are indeed fish, which is terrible for long-term profitability of the games.

Moving back down to 2/5 for an hour really is not a big deal... Especially since the people who are violating this are generally 2/5 regs anyway.

I have played quite a few and there is always more than 100, I would say between 130 and 150 is a safe average....

How much are mixed drinks supposed to be?

I ordered a captain and ginger ale and paid my amount at the bar, and then when I sat down later and got one from our tables waitress I noticed it was a $1 more. No big deal I thought, but then my friend who sat down on my table mentioned that his drinks were an extra $2 each (Jack and coke) with this waitress as opposed to the waitress attending his former table!

I'm not trying to be a huge nit about this, as I am a good tipper, but I would hate it if the waitress is saying a larger number on purpose to guarantee herself a tip...

I am sorry that you had that experience, I will work closely with our food and beverage team to ensure that doesn't happen again.

Kind regards
