You have to get the poker room to add your comp dollars to your card. Then you can use them at Chickies or Foodies in the main casino.

Checked out the Parx tonight for the first time and I have to say this is a A+ room.

My only real complaint is the rake for the bi-weekly $120 tournament. 23 dollar rake? That's seems just a bit excessive...Am I off base here?

Excessive...perhaps, uncommon...no. Most rooms now take 3% for dealers out of the prize pool because people were not usually tiping dealers.

$100 + $20, with an additional 3% for dealer tokes is kind of standard. You are not going to do much better than that by much on the East Coast.

I mostly play @ Mohengan Sun @ Pocono Down and for a 100 dollar tournament it would be 10 bucks in rake +5 for an option dealer add on which I would guess everyone takes.

The $125 Bounty NL Tournaments are $75 (BI) + $25 (bounty) + $20 (fee) + $5 (optional dealer toke).

Which tournament did you play in where the buy in was $100 and the fee only $10. I suppose it is possible in a re-buy tournament, but I doubt if there is any freezeout with a $100 BI and only a $10 fee.

Should the dealer be allowed to remind players of straddles?

i.e. 'Dealer, remind me every time it is my turn to straddle.'

No, that is the players responsibility, not the dealers. It's not required like a blind.

There are antes. It's exactly the same as Borgata's.

Just to play devil's advocate.... If a player misses a blind and then sits back down at the table, most dealer's will ask them if they want to post. This is not the dealers respsponsibility and is not required. It is done as a courtesy.

I'll have to check this...I'm on the road... but... I thought that the 120 bounty @ MS@PD was 85bi+10rake+25bounty and 5 dollar optional add on.

Yea, I see what you're saying. But its not like they ask every utg player if they want to post a straddle so they shouldnt be reminded imo. You need blinds, not straddles.

Who cares? If a player wants to be reminded really what's the big deal? Most dealers won't do it anyway unless it's a 4handed game at 3am

Why wouldn't you want a player to be reminded to straddle?

Maybe he feels bad for the poor degenerate, and doesn't like to see people do obviously -EV things at the table. He also probably tables his hand on the river, to prevent people from betting him when he has the nuts.

Does anyone know how many runners the Saturday $230 usually gets? Also, does it start at noon or 2pm?

I played last nights 100/20 and we had 138 runners.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it is their responsibility. Most dealers know I'm not going to post but ask anyway. "I know the answer, but I have to ask if you want to post."

I'm playing 10/10 now. All the good regs buy in for the full $2k. I would say average excluding these guys is $1500.
