Yea, that's it. It's just that simple.
On a Friday night, with one game going at this limit? It's not like it was for the 1-2 donk-fest, where there are 20+ tables available. You can wait more than an hour++ to get in this game - sometimes longer, if you are buried on the list.
My first point was that the person's name who got the seat, was below my name on the list, when I arrived. That should NEVER happen. The second point was the floor's explanation about how, "when you call in, your name (sometimes) does not "appear" on the list, until you arrive and check-in."
Had he told me the guy was on the dinner list - I would have bought that. Even so, he should, however, have been put at the top of the list when he returned from dinner.
As for the magical appearance/disappearance on the list when calling in... well, like I said, I have called in dozens of times (oh, like every time I go there) and each time I arrived, there was my name - somewhere on the list (unless they called it before I arrived, in which case - it was not there and tough **** for me). I never had to "check in" to become visible on the list.
Take away from this what you will. Ari, you know me well. You get where I am going with this, yes?
