Godz- looking at the August Shootout, it's depressing- all hold'em, just like Chester.

Is the market THAT bad for the other games? Ugh

Think it is smart what they are doing. Have decreased the chance of failure on their first attempt at a series of tournaments. By limiting the games to NLHE with one limit tournament thrown in, they have a shot at running a smooth event.

No need to have any fear that dealers don't know the game they are dealing. Avoids a lot of headaches.

Believe that the next ones will have more variety. At this point, the slow and steady course of this room is helping to move it up the poker room chain in the Northeast. Nothing flashy, but steady as it goes. From the beginning PARX has avoided some of the pitfalls in order to establish a long lasting business.

BTW an ever increasing amount of mixed games, PLO, O8, OE, HOE are being played more often and not just on the board as Interest games.

I personally have no interest, but I was wondering if anyone had any idea how many people will sign up for the Deepstacks Live seminar...I just don't imagine them getting that many

There where plenty of people who signed up in pompano, there alot of guys who just want to meet these people and learn a little about there game. I believe it is a waste for this price there will be more people that sign up then you think.

That's because they saved those "pitfalls" for the parking lot.

Ari,

How often, or more appropriately which days do you usually have an O8 game? Speaking to several people and seeing on your Bravo system, it appears you have OE often, but does it ever run as strictly O8? When you do run it, what stakes is it played at? Is it usually played short or is it a full table with waiting list? Thanks in advance and I look forward to coming out to play at your casino for the first time.

08 runs infrequently now, it seems to have been subsumed by the OE game. When it does run, it is 4-8, 6-12, or sometimes 8-16 stakes. Sometimes it's full, sometimes it's short, it depends entirely on time of day, what other games are running, etc.

I have a week off from work at the end of August, and I just realized that Parx is the closest casino to me. I wanted to spend a day or two playing some poker, so I'll be coming by at some point, just not sure which days I'll choose.

This was explained earlier ITT, I think by Ari. The "other games" are not deemed to be popular enough to be the sole event of any given day. Thus they will only be offered if they start having two events on certain days. And they don't want to commit to that yet. Maybe next time.

So I'm planning on making it down there in 2 weeks. I hope to play in the The OE game. As far as the 7 card 8 or better - is it kinda passive or does it get aggressive?

Bang bang, found a job and I'm looking to head up to parx in a few weeks... Really excited to see the action in the room. It's turning into the nicest room in the area.

Ari or anyone,

How many seats will be available for the 340$ tourney this WED? Are you guys bringing in more tables? I just want to make sure I get a seat but I can't get there til around 1130.

I think the tournaments will be held in a different location other than the usual poker room? Atleast that's what I heard from one of the dealers.

what is expected turnout for event #4 - 1k buy in

afaik, the tournaments will be held in the main room, but if they need extra tables they will be in the lounge area just down the hall from the poker room.

eventually the main poker room may move over to the main parx building, but not for years.

I can't imagine that they would have room in the main room, but who knows, guess it depends on the turnout. As we are getting over 300 for the Tuesday nights and they are handling that okay, I predict a few of the cheaper events getting up to 500 or so. I'm sure they have a plan incase of overflow. The last thing they want to do is shut players out on thier first series. I would keep an eye on this thread in MTTc Live. Brandon has been quite helpful in keeping everyone updated.
