Basically just popular demand. A few people wanted to start a 40/80 but they're only allowed to spread specific limits, for whatever reason, so it had to be 30/60 or 50/100. There's a 30/60 HOSE or HOE game every Wed night, and usually a 30/60 LHE interest list, but that game hasnt run for the last few weeks.

I think 30 and 50 could both exist...especially if 50 gets kicked up to 75

Would help if we could ever get 30 going tho...

So you think they can both exist especially if one of them doesn't exist?

lol yah. Beyond 30, 75 would make some sense as the official balla limit tho in keeping w/ the 3/6 chip format.

Brandon (bnavata) came up to me last night and asked me if they should run single table satellites to the main event with 1 or 2 winners. I told him a $450 single table tournament with 2 seats to the main event would be great. Nothing has been confirmed yet but it looks like that's what will happen.

Thanks for responding early. I saw that it is about 100-110 runners for the Saturday $200+$30 Tourney.....

How long on average has this tournament lasted? Debating on making the trip over there this weekend rather than AC.

I am also carless in philly. I take the EL to the frankford transportation center and ride the 50 bus to Parx.

The only thing that sucks is you have a curfew since the El stops running at 12'ish. Depending on how far from the FTC you are, you could take a cab.

An alternative is stay all night and cab to Cornwells Heights Regional Rail station as well which will get you to CC, however using that to get to Parx means calling a cab in advance so you dont wait long once you get off the regional rail at Cornwells.

Isn't there a bus that takes the El route afterhours or is that just the Broad St Line?

Yes, there's a night owl bus that replaces the El between roughly midnight and 5am, and that time of night the bus is fast enough that it isn't significantly longer than taking the El. The last bus from Parx to Frankford Terminal leaves Parx around 130 or 145am.

any interest in a 8/16 OE or HOE? There've been 3 6/12 OE games going recently, so it could be possible. I'll start interest lists when i'm there (every day)

I was curious and nothing like Oe 6-12 runs in the nearest casino to me. Do they alternate the game hand to hand or does it run O8 for 10 minutes and 7 card stud for the next? Now I'm going to look stupid but isn't stud an ante game? You post 6 for the BB and 3 for the small in the Omaha game right?

Played the OE 6/12 today. Great game, I paid a rack for lessons

Paul - Did you play OE 6/12 today? I was at the must move table for a few hours getting schooled. Couple players chatted about a 15/30 OE game... as 8/16 was too similar to 6/12 to make much difference.

jcs - a few things... game changes every 30 minutes when the new dealer arrives. Time rake $4 per 30 min. $1 ante for stud, $2 bring-in, $6 to complete. Yes, Omaha blinds are $3-6. They do run it 1/2 kill, after a big scooped pot, winner posts $9, and the game plays as 9-18 for that hand. In Omaha, the blinds are still 3-6, but UTG must call 9, kill has an option to raise their $9. I think stud was still $1 ante, I don't recall the change in bring-ins (or even if stud had a kill TBH).

Looking forward to returning. Will have to do some reading on OE, I just wanted to play something other than Holdem for a change at a casino. I think there was a list of interest for LO8, but I may have read things wrong.

Anybody on the 1/2 on Sunday morning when the old guy shipped it with his hand face up K6 high on the river?

One of the most bizarre spazz's I have ever seen, hilarious as all hell though.

I've heard a lot of talk about a 15-30 OE or HOE game but I've yet to see it go. I'll play if its running and there is no PLO running.

There's a rule at parx that if you didnt pay to see the river, you can't ask to see the losing players hole cards. I'm totally fine with this rule but was wondering how can you stop collusion without being able to see the losing players hole cards in a heads up pot?

If the winner of the hand is the only person who can ask to see the losing players hand, how can we prove/curb collusion with a 3rd player if he folded on an earlier street and mucked his cards before a showdown?

ex: UTG bets flop , CO calls, SB raises, UTG calls and CO ships, then SB folds and UTG calls.

So if SB was pumping up the pot to trap UTG while working with the CO and then the SB folds, we will never get to see what the SB was raising with(bc his cards are mucked) and only see the CO cards if he wins the pot or if UTG asks to see his cards.

Some casino's allow anyone who got dealt cards to be able to see the losing players hand at showdown and I thought the reason why was to prevent collusion. I'm just curious as to how someone can prove collusion in a heads up pot if you can't 'spot check' a losing players hand once in a while?

side note: saw the hand sanitizers throughout the room. very nice touch.

yeah this is an unfortunate rule. I have literally never asked to see a hand in my life until parx...i had even called preflop with TT or something...anyway one guy bet an AQx flop, the other guy called and everyone folded. they checked through and the caller had AQ. so I asked to see the bettor's hand and i wasn't allowed to. I think they were friends or something but it was the first orbit of a brand new game and I just wanted to know what was up.

this parx rule is what happens when people abuse this rule time and time again and just ask to see hands for information or to rub in a loss
