LOL - nice pic. I went yesterday and walking through the handicap parking there were two used condoms. I passed on the opportunity to take a pic though...

I left at 3AM - not scary at all in the parking lot (except for the used condoms lol)

Been out in Vegas playing with $10 chips...what a treat. Ari, any word on this please? (Or maybe they've been put into play at Parx in my absence? )

Never seem to be more than 3-4 people interested in this.

To make this happen, there need to be at least 4-5 people interested/committed. And there's a much better shot at getting it going on a Tue, Wed, Thur since it is easier to start short tables on those nights. If it's going to go on a Fri/Sat, then will have to go earlier.

just played the $120 tournament tonight and I must say I was really impressed from top to bottom with the tourney. I registered 10 minutes before and the wait was really fast even though there was a healthy line...tourney started at 7 on the dot. the structure was great for a tuesday night - you got a decent amount of play for at least 90 minutes or so even if you didn't chip up. This is really a great structure for a Tuesday night where they are trying to attract the working crowd that wants the tourney to be done with fast.

my table had 4 or 5 really friendly regs - if you started on table 31, hi! Their table talk was awesome...when someone busted with a stupid hand and someone started to bash them, they were like "eh, top pair and he was short...had to go for it"...just overall really friendly and didn't talk about poker - more about random things like boxing, etc..

anyway really impressed...if anyone is thinking of trying it out, you should go for it.

cash tables were PACKED right after...looks like tuesday night is gonna be awesome at parx for a while.

enjoy my $120 to anyone still in it...glgl

If you get it going some night setup ahead, I can try to make it. I have a new found enjoyment of it, and 8/16 is perfect.

Tuesday Tourney...
275 players
Top 27 paid.
1st $5,396
27th $267

They were just ITM when I left around 1:15.

If the board was to be believed, the avg stack was 98K and the blinds were 6K/12K, and that was with 25 left. Maybe they should make it a Survivor tourney...

Is that a record number for the Tuesday tournament?

Another one for the FAQ: Do they take out of the $100, 3% for the dealers for tips, making it $97 in the prize pool? And the same on Saturday making $194 in the prize pool?

Thanks.

I think it breaks down 100 +17(entry)/3(dealers) =120 and 200 +24/6 = 230

No, the 3% is from the prize pool. $97 prize pool + $20 entry fee+ $3 dealer tips

Went there for the first time recently.

It seemed like a low % of players washed their hands in the rest room.

Saw quite a few minor "blowups" and the room seemed full of what most non-locals would consider to be "typical Eagles fans" if you know what that means. Many macho hotheads in the room. Games were laggy and good though imo.

Dealers varied from quite good to airheads.

It seems as if the 2-5 games are drying up a bit. Maybe its Borgata's summer open, the wsop, the nice weather, or a little bit of all the above, but the games have been pretty weak lately.. Only 1 table all day and MAYBE 4 in the evening. Hopefully action will pick up a bit soon.....

Yeah a lot of the regs have said the same thing at Parx and Chester. Part if it is simply the fact that the worst players have either dropped down (look around at 1/2 and you'll see lots of familiar faces) or have stopped playing.

When poker rooms first open they are always extra soft because of the really casual
players who come just because the room is close and wouldn't normally make a trip to AC to play poker.

Whatever the case, the games are still quite soft and it's not like the bad nit-regs know what to do against any kind of aggressive creativity. The days of late 2010 and early 2011 when there were fish hemorrhaging money left and right are over.

Hmm.. are you the janitor who just hangs out in the bathroom playing on his iphone? Really, clean the place up a bit. It's usually beyond gross in there.

If not, being it was your first visit, how much time did you spend in the bathroom to actually quantify a % of folks who washed their hands? Did you come here for more than to play poker?

I would surmise that most of the non-handwashers are usually New Yawkers who aren't used to sinks in a restroom and not the "typical Eagles fans" you are referring too. We wash our hands before we pee. Have you seen the chips? It's cleaner that way.

But yes, too many disgusting folks leave the bathroom without washing.

The casual 2/5 player (me) now plays 1/2 because $1000 buyin is to big. One thing for a once a week guy like myself who has a good job and plays for fun (and is a decent player who is a small winner over the past few years) to come in with $1,500 to play 2/5. It is another thing to have to bring 3K. I like to have a minimum of 3 buyins when I play. Given that I play for fun I am now playing 1/2. It was obvious that this would happen and that is why there are 25 full 1/2 tables on a Fri/Sat night and 6 2/5 tables. Go back to $500 buyin and it will change. Either way no big deal for me as I enjoy playing

There is nothing wrong with doing both.
