It happens. I was down to 1 bb and had to do what I had to do. Was shocked everyone but the drunk chick was so willing to chop 18 ways evenly when I was down to 1 bb and there were a few others that didn't have much more.

Guess I should have held on a little longer since she ok'ed it 2 seconds after I busted.

Wow if I knew the chop was going to be that silly I would have gutted it out and played yesterday instead of just leaving. Sick beat

What a ridiculous question? I never decided to play bc I didn't want to be there until like 3am

Seems that they need to make this a survivor tournament, if everyone is for chopping

Not a bad idea, but I'm pretty sure that would confuse many of the recreational players. Wasn't able to go to this past Tuesday's tournament since I was running late. I will also be unable to attend next Tuesday's tournament since I will be in Vegas. Barring some unfortunate events, I hope to able to go to the Tuesday tournament almost every week.

you guys talk like you're guaranteed to be there til 3 am...like if you happened to be there til 3 am you'd be putting $5K into your pocket...so you wouldn't stay awake until 3 one night to make $5,000?

i mean making it to the top 6 in a fast structured tourney isn't so easy that you can just hop in and abuse the chop situation every night...i just don't get what all this talk is about.

Want to come down on Friday. When does the $6/12 O/E game start up/get good?

LOL, I have been there a lot recently and it has been running pretty regularly. I start playing mid-late afternoon. But parx does have a live game report which is awesome.

Alerted the floor on Monday night about two cheaters at my 2-5 game. The two friends sat down at the table together, one at the 5 seat, the other the 9 seat (which is the 10 seat at Parx).

The main hand I picked up on them cheating went as the following. As the cards were dealt I was strictly watching the 5 seat (who is in MP). I am in the cutoff, and the other friend (colluder) is on the button. The 5 seat has a firm look at his friend in the 9 seat right after looking at his pocket cards. Few limpers before the 5 seat, and then the 5 seat limps. Few other limpers. It gets to his friend on the button and he makes it 35tg. There are then 3 callers sandwiched between the button and the 5 seat. The 5 seat friend makes it 180 to go, everyone folds including the button, and the 5 seat shows QQ.

I only play 2-5 at Parx here and there, but this was around 3 AM and I'm curious as to how common this type of play is. They both went for a smoke break shortly after that hand and the rest of the table said they had picked up on the cheating even before the QQ hand. I alerted the floor and they watched the table afterwards. They didn't seem to do anything fishy once the floor was around.

Its not that common. When it was suspected a few months ago the players and mgmt did a good job IMO putting a stop too it. And one hand doesn't prove collusion. Definitely something to watch out for though.

Agreed..

I am a 1-2 reg. at Parx, and normally just play 2-5 few times a month. Just something I picked up on that I doubt you'd ever see at 1-2. The funny thing is it seemed like the two guys knew the floor guy who was watching the table, so they had definitely been there before.

I also heard from someone in the room while I was there that someone stole chips off someone's stack and the floor did nothing except tell the guy to protect his stack

If its the incident from a month ago you are talking about thats not true. The lady grabbed a bunch of chips, security was called and the police came.

If its something new idk about it.

Even if this were true what is the floor supposed to do (assuming the don't catch the person)? Reimburse the person for leaving their chips unattended?

It's at the players discretion to leave their chips unattended at the table. >99% of the time that you do it you'll be fine but things do happen. I always protect my larger chips if I get up.

this is a crime & the floor should contact the PA State Troopers on duty to investigate

if i drop a $100.00 near a slot machine in PA & someone picks it up & puts it in their pocket, 2 minutes after i walk away, that is a crime

i do not dispute that leaving chips unattended invites trouble, but it is the casino's responsibility to assist the authorities in investigating the theft
