It depends on the table, sometimes you get at a table where the majority are buying in for the max, sometimes you get a bunch of short stacking bloodsuckers. Luckily there are usually 4+ tables during prime time hours so its easy to switch away from that.

Hello All,

Got knocked out around 10:00 - 10:30 PM. Chipped up nicely to 30 K chips and lost all of them in Level 8 when my Pair of Aces with a Nut Flush draw didn't reach there.

There were quite a few dealer errors. In level 2/3 a person goes all in for 2275 (A initial raise to 350 and two callers and an ALLIN)and the dealer states it as 1275. Initial Raiser who covers calls the ALLIN. After the hand was over and the next hand was dealt the ALLIN guy realizes that he was short changed and all hell broke loose. The floor is called and was decided that there is nothing they can do as the next hand is dealt.

I would assume since this was the first Tuesday Night tourny the dealers would slowly get better. Nice turnout for a weekday event, resembles a little bit like Borgata's Wednesday.

Played cash from 10:30 PM - 1:40 AM. When I left the tourny was still going on with 15 players.

Couple of coolers in Cash:
1) Raise to 15 with AK Suited, two callers, flop comes AK6. I check V1 bets 20, I make it 40, he goes allin and covers my 110 stack. I call and he shows a Set of 6's and I brick.

2) Raise and folded AK like 5/6 times when I missed the flop, the Villan(s) call and show 56 OS or 910 OS and hits them on the flop.

I might try the Sat'day some time soon, for $230 you get 30 minute blinds so it might be worth it.

They need to add a 150/300 level to the tournament...but I thought the payout structure was fine. I also wish they would make the tourneys 9-handed. The tables are just too small for 10-handed play.

I'm thinking of heading to Parxx for the first time today. Do they have games running all day? If not what time do they start to fill?

the main reason it was so flat was that we just hit the 250 threshold whereas if we'd had 249 I believe they pay 18.
I thought tournament payouts were based on the top 10% of entrants i.e. 250 players top 25 get paid, 500 players - 50 etc I would be pretty upset if there was only 18 getting paid w/249 players.

Can anyone else confirm this logic ?

Didn't like the structure very much although it is a "daily"/weekly after all. Still I think they could have a 150/300 level and a 500/1k level. Don't understand the jump from 100/200 to 200/400, and 1k levels are the easiest thing ever. Anyway I was at table 55 and busted pretty early. Played PLO the rest of the night which was pretty fun.

I agree, 18 paid with 249 entrants sounds quite odd. Also, I agree with the structure, but it looks like they took it from the Borgata dailies. Seeing that they chopped at 3:30 AM, I don't think it need to be any longer, if anything the breaks need to be 10 minutes and end the thing around 3.

Most places I've been to go with about 10% making the money, but the Saturday tourney only paid 9 with 137 players. Or so I heard. It be nice to get some clarification from Parx on this policy.

Regarding the bathrooms.... The urinal area in the mens room smells so god awful half the time I have to take a piss in the toilets. Or course I have to check usually about 4 of them to find one not full of piss unflushed. Parx is really lacking here. The bathroom attendents here really might be the worst ever. I can't count the number of times the bathroom is really dirty and that young black dude is sitting there with his phone in one hand and IPOD in the other messing with them. Then my other favorite is seeing whichever attendent leaving the bathroom as if he just finished his round but it's still a complete mess. I feel like grabbing them and asking them where they are going and what the heck did they do in there.

I'm not sure how hard it is to find some mexicans or illegal imigrents to work the bathrooms but it would be worth the trouble cause it is pretty gross in there.

wow sounds really bad, and most casinos public restrooms are waaaaay better than most public establishments

They think they are still just a horse track and can get away with it. I think they clean under the tables 1 time every 24 hours.

Busted ~40th in the tourney. 3 outed on the river

Anyway, earlier on in the tourney i cold called a big stacks raise with Q5s and then BB squeezed for like 10bbs more. Original raiser folded, and then bb throws his hand in face up and shows T8o. I say, CALL, and lose. lolol

It sucked, but it was pretty funny.

This was my first live tourney in a casino, i just turned 21 and never bothered going to anything that was 18+. I had fun and the structure wasn't toooooo bad. There were the obvious mistakes like no 500/1k lvl. I also hated not knowing where each table was, but idk if this is normal everywhere.

Another funny hand, I was in the BB with A9o, with 8bbs, folded around to the SB who minraised, and i shipped over. I think this was at 1k/2k with a 500 ante? Anyway, he folded his AJ face up and said "your pair is good". The guy next to me started giggling and said quietly "oh my god". hahaha. Overall I had a good time.

I'm sure it has a strong correlation to all of the phans... longest game of the season by far and longest for the phils since '93 when they went 20 vs Dodgers. And now we're goin to the top of the 19th. God help us now, Valdez is pitching!

I'll be in when it's over, (which is prob soon) but after watching over 6 hours there's no way I can risk missing the end on my way over!

I bet the PR is crazy right now. Valdez just got through the inning retiring Votto, Bruce, and the pitcher! Haha, maybe it'll take a little longer than I thought.

The 15 mix game was a ton of fun, we played 5-6
hours. We will be doing it again next week if anyone is interested in coming down to play.

Some Random Parx thoughts:

Cleaning the chips - At the very least I would like to see a policy in place where Parx commits to cleaning the chips at designated intervals. How often they should be cleaned is worthy of discussion. Monthly, Bi-Monthly, Quarterly, I dunno? It's obvious that cleanliness is important to many of us. While I don't think that they're 'Taj-like' right now I would think that cleaning them before they get 'really bad' would be a good policy. And in general letting us know that they'll always be some degree of clean would be great.

On the topic of hygiene, I personally wash my hands pretty often during a session. However, most players don't. So here's another vote for hand sanitizers being installed in the room.

The bathrooms - I've found them to be pretty hit or miss on the cleanliness front. I'd like to see the bathroom staffed 24/7. One of the paper towel dispensers (sensor operated) has already broken and the others are far from a sure bet to work. Also at times there is no attendant to be found for exceedingly long stretches. Not cool.

In general anything that promotes a clean and comfortable atmosphere is good for business, especially if Parx wants to be considered an elite poker venue. I love the fact that Ari and staff have been responsive to our requests and care about their players which is why I feel that submitting posts like this is time well spent.

Thanks for taking the time to read this Ari.
