Question for the Limit guys .... Is betting uncapped @ PARX when HU ?

On any street, when the 4th bet goes in, if it is HU, it is a 4-bet, not a cap. If there are three or more still in the hand when the 4th bet goes in, it is a cap for that street.

I'll be there every single Tuesday if they can put together a good structure and/or 25+ min levels. Can't wait for this to get rolling. The number of players is gonna be hilarious.

i could be wrong but i dont think thats 100 percent correct. if they follow what most places do, if any other player put money in on street it is 4 bet max. example, A bets, B calls, C raise, A 3 bets, B folds, C raises which caps betting since B put money in pot on street. if B folded to first bet then there is nocap.

That is not correct. If B folds before the 4bet there is no cap.

I'm planning on making my first trip to Parx next Friday and/or Saturday to play some 2/5 NL. For a frame of reference, most of my recent live play has been 2/5 NL at the Borgata. I'm looking for any first-time tips you might have. Things that come to mind that I'd like to know are:

Where is the best place to park?
I've signed up for an Xclub card online - where do I pick up my card? The website said at the main lobby, so is that a different building than the Poker room?
Does Parx offer table-side dining?
Are non-alcoholic drinks free?
Do I buy my initial chips at the cashier or at the table?
Any odd house rules that someone new might be surprised by?
Anything else you would like to tell me?

Park anywhere over by Parx east (the building on the left as you come in any of the main entrances.

Not sure what main lobby they mean, but probably the main building, which is not the poker building, unfortunately.

Eating at the table is hit or miss at 2-5. Generally I wouldn't suggest trying - just take your food to an empty table or to the racing room next door.

Water and soda are free (read: $1 tip), but come in tiny cups.

Buy all chips at the cage (or from one of the pushcarts). Dealers can't sell you chips at all.

Cash doesn't play, and dealers can't give you a rebuy, as above. If you are felted, there is no way to get chips before the next hand (unless the cart is right next to you and you can get it done quickly). Many people buy in extra and just keep some 100s or 25s in their pocket, in case they need to top off or rebuy.

Hey guys, I'm looking to try out Parx as it about half the distance that Ac is for me. I know these have probably been answered before in the thread but I was unable to find them here or on the Parx site.
Is the rake 4 plus 1 for the jackpot?
Is the room nonsmoking?
Where is the parking and how do I get to the poker room from there?

1) Rake is up to $5 - no BBJ
2) Room is 'semi-smoking' - you can't smoke at tables, but are allowed to smoke at the bar which is part of the room
3) It is one big parking lot, try to park as close to PARX east room (smaller of two buildings) as possible. You won't be able to miss it, signs everywhere.

Min rake is $5, no jackpot drop (and no jackpot). Room is non-smoking, but smoking is allowed at the bar nearby; most people can't smell it at the tables, but some people are able to. I just answered the parking question 2 posts above yours - I guess you didn't search too hard.

Most games earn $1/hr in comps. Selected high limit games get $2/hr.

Coming off of Street Road (is there another way?) making the turn at the Applebee's, you'll have a stop sign, go through that, then come to a T-junction where you can only go left. Go left, then make the first right and you'll easily see the two buildings. Parx East is the one of the left and set back a bit more. It's all surface lot parking.

Were you there today? I was in the 9 seat from 12-6. I usually don't play much later than 6 o clock so I doubt I was there monday at 7.

Can anyone comment on the players that play 4/8 ?? Seems like there is usally only one or two tables going at any given time. Is it the same group of regs that play ?? Seems like a small cross section of the population in the room

Standard 2/4 type play, super massive LP, you will never see a three bet or a turn raise. Old guys will literally just call your river bets with the sheer nuts.

What do you mean by LP here Loose/passive ?? can anyone else share whether or not this is the same group of guys that are playing ? Thinking of taking a shot at Limit, though I have been exclusivly a NL player
