Most players would rather have the ML structure be 15/30 and 30/60 than 8/16 and 15/30. It supports the room although it takes action from AC to Philly.

What? That is nonsense.

The reason that 8-16 (and other lower mid-limit HE games) do not thrive is because the $300-$500 buy in crowd is now playing NL.

1-2 NL killed the bottom end of mid-limit HE. There is almost no room (other than in CA, where 6-12 seems to thrive) where games such as 5-10, 6-12, 8-16 are flourishing.

When you reach 10-20, where the buy in regularly is $500+, that is where you start to see LHE regain players. 4-8 and below is a different market all together, as is 15-30 and above.

Ari I come to this thread again with more whining.....
patch the major holes in the lot.
Even if not. Comped. Why can't parx organize a cheap rate for poker players at nearby motels?
Cappuccino and espresso??
Can we get a few snack vending machines there's so much room
massage girls
make the cage faster its absurdly slow

I really can't see why Parx can not cut some kind of deal for reduced rate rooms.Seems to me it's a no brainer win win situation for all involved.

I think I am going to pull a late nighter at the poker room tonight. It will be my first visit to Parx. I am visiting from Tampa for a couple of months.

Will I see the typical drunk poker players around 1am?

Also, the casino that I was playing at before had a $100 max buy-in at $1/2 NL. The Parx is $300 max, right? Does the game play a little bigger? 1st raise in the neighborhood of $9-$13?

Thanks. . . .anyone going to be out there tonight?

TT

If anyone was at the 1-2 NL table way in the back last night, I was the guy who hit quads twice. Kind of disappointed I didn't make as much money as I think I should've tbh

First raise is generally $10 or $12 I have found (two red chips or two reds and the big blind). Drinks aren't free so people may not be as drunk as places where they are. But it's $1-2, so drunk or not, there will be idiots. And yup, the buy-in range is $60-300.

There seemed to be borderline angle shooting as well as players commenting (somewhat pejoratively) about each other's play (and there seemed to be one player constantly commenting on one other player regardless of the outcome).

Theres some fat middle aged guy with a grey beard who frequently wears a PARX hat. guy is always commenting on people's play and whining about everything. Only see him play 1/2 NL.

It's a Philly word meaning to think or talk aloud without making much sense.
Seems to happen with Eagle and Flyers fans the most.

It's not a "philly" word. It's an english word

As per Webster's Dictionary: a word or phrase that has negative connotations or that is intended to disparage or belittle : a pejorative word or phrase

there are lots of words in the dictionary no one uses and can have common words with the same meaning.

To mean a "philly" word is something like "Drawlin" or "Joe" words that are made up.

Anywho, getting back on topic. Said douchy behavior was performed by a few young guys. It made me feel bad b/c it looks like young douche players ruin the reputation for interneters for all the rest of us youngins.

In terms of my session: I lost after getting crippled when by AA got cracked :-(

Bullseye.

I wonder if the only regular LHE game between 4/8 & 10/20 on the East Coast is the 5/10 kill @ Foxwoods ?

Checked out Parx for the first time - very impressed. Good games and a very well run room. I will be back in the 15 game for sure.
