Good luck in getting this off the ground. Can't make it this Friday. This month is crazy for me on the weekends...family birthdays.. and I'll be at the Borgata next weekend. But this is a game I'm very interested in and one I think has a good chance to find a niche at Parx.

Hope you pick up some NLHE 2/5 or 5/10 players waiting for tables..but then they just stick around. At any rate, think your target "clientele" should be with people with money who want to play in games with big pots..guys with seemingly endless 100 dollar bills in their pockets.

How are you playing on handling the change in games? Certain number of hands or time?

In CO this week on biz... went to Blackhawk Casino today. I haven't been there in ages - since back in the days when the max bet was $5.

I overhear a couple of guys at the next table talking about PARX! Huh??

So, I ask them how they heard about it and they said that they were in PHL on biz a few weeks ago and dropped by to play. I asked them what they thought.

They said it was a nice room, but the smoke was annoying, the waitresses were smoking hot and they enjoyed the arguments at one of the HL games they sat in.

Small world,eh?

With just a 2 game rotation, it's gotta be time/dealer change/30 mins.

This is a pretty funny statement. I personally like to shortstack my buy in at PLO for a purpose. (PLO'ers should know the strategy). There is a reason to that type of madness.

Honestly, I don't think the PLO regs are "fanatical", we just want to bring in some new players to the game and if tweeking how it is spread at PARX takes a bit, I'm down. It takes time for a game to come together in a room. Imagine if that when the poker boom had started, instead of NL Holdem, the championship game being televised was PLO High? There is the possibility that the game everyone would be playing would be PLO. So in essence, we are having to work against the grain. Disagreements will be disagreements, but dialogue on an internet poker board is never bad, those who don't care just have to scroll down.

BTW, I have to say that I been going to PARX now pretty regularly and I have to give it to Ari and his staff. Hands down have done a great job.

They were all too busy at the podium talking and not observing their games. When I play the 15/30 game at Parx, I see the dealers get better and better. Anyone wanna step it up a notch and play 30/60 friday?? We played last week and the game was great!
definitely in but not this week, also the less players the better, willing to play higher if you guys want as well

Looking good for a full table on Friday, can't wait

The buy in the last time we played 2/5 plo was 200/1000, hopefully there wont' be too much short stacking.

I agree with Chris, the best way to do the change is on the dealer change, every half hour.

Hey Poker Manager,
Good job keeping out the 2/4, 3/6 LHE players from Parx. The place was so dead Sunday night that it couldn't even sustain a 4/8 table. I'm sure the dealers sitting at all the empty tables are glad they didn't have to work for a table of 2/4 players like they do at Harrah's (which WAS busy BTW). You wouldn't want the place to look too busy now, would 'ya?

Keep dreaming that Parx is Borgata East. You continue to be fed crumbs and act like it's a piece of cake.

Wouldn't that be Borgata West? Or maybe Borgata North?

Hey Chris,

Yes, it's me "IF". I am gonna try and make it up on Friday. I may have to go out of town for the night, but....if I can get out of it, I will head on out.

Cheers.

I actually have to be reasonably sure that it's going to go, because I'm flying in from Chicago to play... That's how epic Parx poker is becoming

Has anyone gotten the OK from Ari to run the PLO/NLHE game. I'm coming friday to play plo regardless.

I mean, I don't want to say it's 100% go...if it's a decision whether to fly in or not.

I am 100% to be there at 10ish and ready to play 2/5 NLHE/PLO mix....or PLO if we can't do the mix

It def has a very very good chance of running. Room should be pretty busy.

The PLO regs should feel free to start a new thread for this particular 2/5 HA game because it's unique enough to have its own space, much like Delaware Park's 8-/9-/10-game mix.

Also, the best way to deal with the "I 2/4 & 3/6" trolls is to ignore them. Ari knows what's best for the room w/r/t LHE. He has the only room within a day trip, other than the uber-established Taj and Borgata, able to get games above 4/8.

No ok needed, it was spread once before. If there are players and the game is approved by the pagcb then parx will spread it.

Wowowowow, npx you are flying in? That is totally epic. If you do dinner is on me (just the noodle house, I'm a cheap mofo). Like chris said, I can't 100% gaurantee it but ther is a tables worth of people on the roll call so I think it is very likely to run. Last Tuesday we did just plo and it ran.

Does Parx do any daily or once weekly NLHE tournys?

If there were one tenth the number of plo players as there are posts there would be no nlh tables as the room would be filled with plom. I would think that if u get players they will spread the ggame

No need, hobokes or BriMc, some high-flying plo action is all I need to satisfy me... I'm planning on playing at least 24-36 hours of poker this weekend - who's down?
