I'm sitting in it, and it just feels dead. I do still hear plenty of chips clanking though

Dude, it's Monday night and there are 18 games going. Even the Borgata only has 22 right now.

I'm probably heading over tomorrow with a friend around 2pm to play some NL. Any chance 5/10 will be running?

I've skimmed the thread and haven't seen the buyins for each level.

What are the max buyins for 1/2, 2/5 and 5/10? Have there been any NL games over 5/10?

IFSATG: I didn't know that you managed a poker room.

2/5 is $1,000 max...from the few times I was there most people buy in around 400-500ish but there seems to be a lot more people that reload than borgata where they will leave after one buyin (again only there 3 times so not sure if this is accurate). Not positive about 5/10 but for some reason $2,500 is sticking in my head but again not sure.

I have not seen anything above 5/10 NL.

5/10 NL is $500 min and $2,000 max.

Thanks. Hope this will alleviate the wait time. Had to wait 1 1/2 hrs last time for 1-2 nl. That was painful.

Guess I will hit AC once again this weekend and start hitting Parx after the holidays after the expansion.

I came by between 1pm-7pm today and had some fun at the 5/10 tables. Only brought 4k and staked my buddy to play some 1/2.

15 minutes in I get all in for a $3k pot on a 964cc flop with AQcc vs.......AJo. Turn J. Brick river. LOL fun

Then lost another ~1200 with 9T vs AT on KQ8 5 J :/

Down to my last $600 i finally made some hands and ran it all the way back to $3600 at my peak. Never got even tho and finished -$800. Felt like a win.

Most of the table seemed to know each other and everyone was having a good time. I'm very much looking forward to another session in the next week or so.

I'd like to know about DRINKS AND COCKTAILS. If Ari or another rep could let me know how it works.

One major drawback about Parx compared to AC and especially vegas is the lack of free alcohol. Not only do people drink and play bad making the games better but I like to drink myself when playing. At Parx who decides on that type of stuff, what drinks are free, etc. Is that little bar run seperately or is it run by the poker room?

Even if free drinks aren't feasible from a economic reason, how about meeting us half way. It seemed like it cost $5 for a beer at the tables. This isn't a night club dependent on a huge markup on drinks to survive. No reason to rip us off. If you can't afford to comp drinks offer them as a convienience and just charge around the cost, like $1 or $2 or something.

I have a funny feeling the "free alcohol" issue will be settled around expansion time ( Dec. 22, 6 days ). Stay tuned.

Is anyone even attempting to start an interest list for stud btw?
No, I'm not "old", I just like stud sometimes.

[edit] I will have to say the waitresses would do much better (tip wise) with free alcohol. Happy waitresses = better overall table service = calmer , less demanding poker players....IMHO

** When I use a waitress I always tip $1 ($2 when I double-fist)

Why don't u grinders stop whining about paying for booze if the drinks aren't free go play somewhere else where they are.....parx is not giving out free drinks and any point sure I'll get flamed by the 13 workers that post on here but it is what is is....

The casino is doing u a favor anyway it will cost u 50 to get a dwi now instead of it being free

For what it's worth I went to pocono downs when they opened showed my Foxwoods poker black card I was given a elite card by the casino and that gets u free drinks everywhere in the casino....ask management that at parxs see what they do....I don't drink so it doesn't make a difference to me

And u gotta love the cheapo grinders that order 2 drinks and tip $1....then u guys wonder why the waitresses get "lost" for periods of time...does it really hurt to tip $2 for 1 or 2 drinks or does that cut into the varience
