I would say a change is in order. But until then , so no1 gets stacked unnecessarily, I would wait until a bet stack is counted down by dealer just to be safe. Also, maybe Ari could give a heads up to dealers to look out for this and enforce the " large denominations need to be visible " rule.
We changed the rule to where purple chips and higher will not play in 2/5 and below.

Players earn $1 per hour, all you need to do is see a shift manager to redeem.

Anybody eat there? Is the food decent?

It's meh in the building where poker is now. After christmas week there will be, from what I hear, a really good noodle bar downstairs in the pit.

I guess I should frame that, it is better than fast food but nothing I get excited about eating yet.
If you go to the bar you get the hot roast beef, if you want a cold sandwich head downstairs to the Horsemans Cafe for a fresh made sandwich, I get the Italian hoagie or the cold roast beef sandwich (comes with chips and pickle spears).

Food pretty much sucks. Your choices for hot food are hot dogs, sausage dogs, and a roasts beef sandwich. The chili soup I hear is okay too. They have cold sandwiches and salads as well. Everything under or around 5 bucks or so. Also sucks that you can't eat at the table.

They're opening a steakhouse and noodle bar eventually so that's good news.

There's a lot of folks who think that it's great that you are not permitted to eat at the tables.

The steakhouse is open already, it is in the main casino building, along with Chickie and Petes.

Ty Ari. There ya go fellas. As you can see, by this response to my (and others) OP, Ari, and the staff at Parx casino are doing there very best in answering all concerns to legitimate issues being brought about in regards to the poker room. Again, this is a brand new poker room and there are going to be some things that need a little tweaking. I think we need just a little patience. It will only get better.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This room is on its way to becoming the best poker room on the east coast. The staff being so attentive in addressing initial concerns quickly (security, charging for water, etc.), tells me they are working hard to reach that goal. Having a staff as good as this, IMO, is the 1st step in transforming the Parx poker room into an east coast poker destination.

Thank you again Ari , for all the great work you and your staff are doing to make this poker room as great as it is presently. I know , with time and patience this will be a great place to play for years to come!! I even brought my mother out on her birthday on the 25th!!

Unfortunately , my money has been kind of funny as of late. So, I'm not to sure I'll be visiting too often w/in the next month or so. However, I look forward to meeting you in person Ari, you seem to be a class act. I will say, I did ask for you the four sessions I've had the last couple weeks, so I tried!! lol

No worries, I'm sure I'll get to meet you eventually. Keep up the good work.

Parx poker room rules!!!

idk. Sorry. I have thoughts that take up a little space sometimes. Is enthusiasm for a new poker room in my area such a bad thing?

I have to agree with Jonathan here. It is very impressive that Ari has already changed the rule. It is unfortunate there were some design flaws with the chips, but it is nice to see management is doing its best to fix the problems. I think it will be important in regards to the reds and greens having the blue on the side, that players verbalize their bets and ask the dealers to ensure a count on the bets.

I would be one of those people. It's bad enough that these people seem to never shower, I'd rather not also have their greasy hot sauce hands all over the chips and cards. It's just disgusting.

its refreshing to see a poker room manager so in tune with 2p2, and actively attempting to sniff out angles.
the success of this room so far definitely reflects the competence of the management team- keep it up ari

The floors keep accepting tips and moving regs in to the premium games (5-10) without calling who's at the top of the list. This is the THIRD time I've encountered this, THIS WEEK! I don't want to name names yet, but I STRONGLY recommend you have a group meeting with your floor supervisors. I am extremely irritated, expect me to spend the rest of the month playing high stakes at the borgata over PARX. Why don't you guys call me when you take favoritism off the waitlist.

Seems like a really valuable service. That's how they do it out west. Just tip them also and get the seat

Are the comps redeemable at Chickie's and Pete's? If so...Yes!

I have to say the crab fries are grossly overrated.

^But have you tried the actual crabs? Delicious. I haven't gotten them at Parx yet but at their other locations they are really really good, albeit a bit messy.
