cash playing is a bad idea. even with 100s only playing it is difficult to know how many 100 dollar bills someone has. People put them under their chips, inbetween stacks...buy chips makes it easoer, quicker and less of a chance for angle shooters hidding their money. Only exception would be ultra high stakes when cashing out or buying more than 10K in chips would be an IRS reporting issue.

Is Rivers owned by a major casino company? Mt Airy flaunted those types of rules often. PA Sands wouldn't risk that given their multi-casino holdings.

There is a reason cash plays in limit... a persons stack doesn't matter...i think one should be able to pull out more money in limit as is the rule in ac and vegas.

I would love to play some $1/2 HA. If we can get this game going, count me in!

It still needs to be "on the table" prior to the hand being dealt; you cannot go into your pocket for more money/chips, once the cards are in the air.

How far into the AM do 1-2 and 2-5 games usually run midweek? Just asking because I will be passing through on my way up north and it would be nice to take a pit-stop and check it out.

if it's anything like harrah's was, the $1/$2 game will run 24/7.

I like your list, and agree with it for the most part. I don't see a problem with using $2 chips in the 4/8 game - Omaha 8, at any rate. For one thing, it makes chopping the pot easier for the dealer.

As for the 8-16 game, I'm confused with what you are saying. You advocate using $2 chips (I agree), but then say make people break "reds & blues". Aren't the blues the $2 chips??

Just wondering - why is the Racetrack/poker building called "Parx East", when it really is to the *WEST* of the main building?

Somebody mis-read their compass?

People keep saying that. My scientician approved car GPS test had Parx east almost due north of parx main. If anything, it was slightly NNE.

Wow, at Parx right now. $15/30LHE, $5/10NL, $8/16LHE and even a $4/8 O8/b....so good to see that this isn't just a $1/2NL room, even late into the night

the 4-8 o8 game is ridiculous. Tons of action and today featured a very drunk donator who kept screaming after winning a pot and yelled either 'cap' or 'all in' on his action and shoved in a bunch of chips. Definitely a fun game that I prefer much more than Taj's 5/10 game and I am not good enough to play Borgata's 10/20 game.

In leaving today at 5am there was a security guard walking around the handicap area, and 2 security suvs driving up and down all the lanes of parking. Was pleasantly surprised.

Not sure if it is always like this but just passing it on.

Don't think you thought this one out. A player could choose how much to invest in a pot without having to fold.

When I picked up from the 8-16, I was watching it for a while. Definitely over the top. Much better than the usual collection of nits at the Taj's "five & dime" and 1000X better than the geriatric club O8 game at the Borg. I sat the other night and while not as wild & wooly as this one - it was still a great (and FUN) game. Highly Recommended!!!

At 11PM - there was a full table with around 15+/- on the list. This game has got traction!

I saw two SUV's when I left. Not near where I was walking, but out crusing in the main lot. I am pretty sure that the "message" was delivered and based on this - HEARD. Very nice!

So, for only the 2nd Friday night, I must say the room continues to impress me. Very well run. The dealers that need improving are getting better. The good ones are doing it well, too. Brushing into games was very swift tonight. Seats were not left empty for long. The drink service needs more improvement. This is not so much the fault of the ladies - but, there could be a couple more of them and the back room processing of orders needs expediting. The girls are doing the best they can and do a great job of maintaining their cool, in the face of some player hostility.

What impresses me the most, however, is the attitude - by EVERYONE. From [name removed] at the sign in desk on forward, the floor people, dealers, waitstaff, chip runners... they are are very nice. They have been coached well on ensuring that the "customer experience" is exceptional.

I've been in many rooms and can honestly say, even in the best of them (Borgata, Venetian, Aviation Club of Paris), I can't say that all the staff were this well versed in customer satisfaction. You can usually find someone who is miserable and let's that bleed through. Not here. Not yet, anyway.

Let's hope this is a trend that continues. There is too much hostility and anger in poker to begin with. It's nice to be treated nice by the staff. Maybe it will rub off on the players
