They just opened five guys about 2-3 miles west on street rd.

5-10 Min/Max is $500/$2000

The 2/5 game I played in not many people bought in for more than $500. Some bought in less than $500. Maybe three of us had $1000.

Also, I'm going to have to add a plug for Nifty Fifties down the street (make a left out of the main entrance). The food is fine (sort of like Johnny Rockets if you're familiar with them), but the milkshakes there are GREAT. Very interesting flavors like almond joy, peanut butter oreo. Must get. Oh yea - and throw in Chili Cheese Fries also (GREAT). It's not fine dining, but I love it.

If that place is owned by the same people who own the one in Ridley (MacDade Blvd I think), I would highly recommend it. Absolutely awesome food and shakes.

It is (owned by McGlynn), and it is (awesome). I recommend the Chili Cheese Burger with an order of Spicy Cheese Fries. I grew up in the shadow of the original Ridley location.

It only happened once, and according to the dealer at my table that is the rule, but I would like Ari to comment on what the rule really is if possible.
In a checked round, the first player to show is the person in worst position. I understand and appreciate player concerns but I feel that our ruling is correct. If we implemented the ruling suggested, it would be difficult to manage with more than two players, who would show 2nd? 3rd?

So please Ari, throw us a bone and include a few 2/4s in your 50 table room. It's not much to ask and will help appeal to the ENTIRE poker community (not just the Phil Ivey-wannabees who seem to post here). Poker's a great game not just for the gambling, but for the social aspect of the game. Keep us in mind too, thanks! [/QUOTE]

Once we expand, we will take a step back and take a look at our game mix. Our 4/8 games have been very strong, we are spreading 3 games everyday.

Ari,

Do you plan to have a separate area for higher limit games?

I really hope that once the room gets over 40 tables this happens. I think a 6 table section would be fair for now. All 5/10 NL and 15/30 limit games can go here. It should also help draw people to the higher games.

The players in the high limit section should get free beer, wine, etc...

Lastly, Ari if you want to make this room #1 in the east do what the Borgata used to do........bring free food to the high limit area. Make this room special and it will be the place for even high limit players to play.

IMHO not spreading anything lower than 4/8 is a Fantastic differentiator and in the Room's financial best interests.

There are half a dozen rooms in Eastern PA that run 2-4LHE and only one that does not. You want a unique offering in a crowded market... you got it.
Well done.

This is actually a really solid piece of feedback. Granted some minor construction would have to be done to have it function like Borgata's restroom entry/exit, but removing the door would be a good start.

Ari, you should address the parking lot situation. Way too much distance to cover... no staff in lobby at night and no security and a long walk thru no man's land of handicap empties to get to your main lots. This may not be a "poker room" issue... but it should be addressed immediately. Player safety should be priority, which I've heard has not been at parx.

Ari

Please do "NO FLOP, NO DROP"
Sands and a few other casinos are doing that. I don't think it's a state rule. Please reduce the rake. Thank you.

The last aggressor rule has never been a problem in the eight years I have played live in a multiway pot. Normally people will show their hand if it is better than the last aggressor's without arguing over whose turn it is next. I can't remember anytime where there was an argument. Last night when the player was told he had to show first, he was very upset that he had to do that and I think will lead to more hostility.

Although reading Robert's Rules of Poker, you are right. "8. If everyone checks (or is all-in) on the final betting round, the player who acted first is the first to show the hand." Just a warning though, many of the players will be used to the Borgata rule of last aggressor (the Taj uses the first to act rule).

Not having a 2-4 game for the smaller people is
Just a horrid business decision....picture a new player sitting down at a 4-8 game,..

Player: how much do I have to put in to call??

Dealer: 16 sir (capped pre flop)
Flop
Player: how much more to stay in??
Dealer: another 16 sir

Turn
Player: I have to put 24 to stay in??
Dealer: yes!!!

River
Player: i got to put in 16 to call??
Dealer: yes sir 16 to see what he has

Dealer: sir player has nut flush..
Player: I didn't even have a pair

Player: I just lost all my money in one hand f this

All I'm trying to say is on weekends people and new players can't and don't want to Lose around 50 in a hand

This has to be a joke. 4-8 is 2-4 just doubled, you realize this right? No player with any degree a consciousness should get confused by a 4-8 game as opposed to a 2-4 games betting structure. Oh and take my word, the players are pretty much the same caliber of player in both games.

Personally, I love that there's no 2/4. Those are the smelliest tables at Harrah's.
