Gl with that. An ac casino has a regular plo game but it is 1-2, not sure how you haven't heard about it by now. Id be surprised if there was a large 2-5 plo player pool who apparently will only play in philly.

Anyone interested in a regular friendly local get together outside the tables to talk strategy, beats, etc and of course throw a few back at one of the many restaurants/bars in or around parx?

I'll organize/coordinate the first one if there is interest and we can go from there... DM me (so we don't hijack this thread).

Pretty excited for another room to open in Philly and thanks for all the updates Ari. Will the above mentioned cocktails be complementary by any chance?

I think expecting a PLO game to go at Parx is a bit optimistic. Even Borgata can usually muster only one sputtering 1/2 table on the weekend.

$1/2 on the weekends would be fine with me. Im 10 minutes from Parx. It's just a pain in the ass to drive down to AC every weekend just to play live.

Count me in for the preview night, if it happens

Ari - did you already get approval from the gaming commission for the $2chip?

I hope that's not the night! Much rather have it be a Monday or Tuesday.

Ari, what is the rake/time for 2-5nl, 5-10nl, 15-30lhe, and 30-60lhe? Also, how ergonomical are the actual tables? Shufflemaster? Cupholders? Tight, hard felt and padding? I hope the tables are not like the ones at DP. What is the deposit to reserve a lockbox? Thanks.

Andy

8/16 HOSE would be ideal, but I wouldn't mind 4/8 either.

8/16 O8/stud 8 would be pretty cool too...

I wouldn't mind a 4/8 HOSE either. I would enjoy throwing some chips around. We are almost two weeks away! Where's a DeLorean when you need one...

OIm down for 1/2 plo(borgata reg here) and 4/8 hose, anythng with stud 8. I have played it live only twice. Once in the B 10/20 oe and once 5/10, so really once . It would be nice to play hos in somewhat meaningful stakes withot the typical 2/4 or 3/6 lhe crowd.

It is just something I threw out there to the forum, I am working on it.

That has not been addressed yet, I will let everyone once a decision is made.

I have played in that game a number of times and I like it but...
AC:65 Minutes
HArrahs CHester: 30 minutes
PARX: 25 Minutes (only 10 from work).

It's just a convenience thing, will be able to play much more live poker with the shorter drive.

The more interest and people we can get the better the more chance we can get it going at least on the weekends.

I hope you can pull it off!

Any night next week works for me. I just found out that I have to go to CA for biz on Nov 1 -4 - so, I'm gonna miss the opening <sadness>.

It's about 10 minutes, door-2-door for me and I'll sit PLO anytime

Of course, the HOSE game would be just as much fun, 4/8 or 8/16.

Either way, it's a huge win.

I will not be there as I have my actuarial exam the 2nd but consider me down for PLO.

Honestly, the key for me will be free alcohol. I usually have 2-3 drinks per session and pay for parking. So I pay 7-8. If I order these drinks but save parking I'm still paying at least 6-7 bucks for each of my crown & gingers/coke and rum and cokes. It's not worth it for me if my favorite AC casino is already well established and only a slightly longer drive.

I live in central NJ now so Parx is only 45 minutes away, so I may go down on a nonbusy weekday.

Free alcohol is the key to your playing poker? I hope that you are at my table! Drinks are on me.

Free drinks make the entire room much better IMO. It's getting annoying going to Harrah's Chester and sitting with 9 stone cold sober nits. If the booze is free people may be more inclined to have a few and stir up the party atmosphere. Next thing you know you have 5 way pots every flop and the games loosen up.
