I think that have a 2/5 and 5/5 is really tough to run, those games seem to cannibalize each other. Most players tend to buy in for $500, but it gives a new player an opportunity to be at par if the stacks are high.

Ari,

Thanks for letting us know what limits you're spreading for hold 'em.
What limits are you planning for stud, Omaha, & HOSE ?

We are looking to keep the same structures (4/8, 8/16, etc.)

Funny anecdote on this from another casino. There were 2 tables of 2/5 going, with one being a must-move. A seat opens on the main table, so of course a player is called in from the must-move game.

Nobody wants to move. "You have to, it's a must-move," says the floor.

We're making this a 5/5 game, says everyone at the table.

There went the must-move.....

Really sounds terrific Ari, thanks for answering the questions. Actually I do have one more question:

Will alcohol be free to active poker players?

Couple of questions re poker room:
1. Is actual opening on Monday Nov 1, 2010?
2. Is the actual table count set for 24 on Nov 1, and is the poker room expansion really just couple months later?
3. Exactly where in track will room be, and is parking convenient to it?

Ari, we're getting pretty close, is the opening date of Nov. 1 officially confirmed yet?

Nothing is offical yet, but it is looking like the first week of November. Once it is offical I will post it on here. The poker room will be on the third for of the racetrack. The room is quite large, I know everyone will be impressed.

Pretty excited for this, much closer to central NJ than AC. I hope there are not ridiculous waiting lists that I have heard of, but not accustomed to in AC. It looks like the room will be under very good management, so I am expecting big things.

^Thanks for the continued updates, Ari. I'm really looking forward to checking Parx out when the room opens. Good luck with the final preparations!

Hopefully I can find a decent live PLO game once Parx opens up. It's so tough to find a game anywhere.

For one that's been to the racetrack building for many years the poker room location is the best place it can be.The 3rd floor is large and you will not have to compete with the casino building for parking. If the room is busy my only request would be to upgrade the food service area's.This would be a win win situation for both sides.

Hi All,

Just a few updates.

1. We are looking to open November 3rd.
2. 24 games, but we are looking to expand before the end of the year.
3. Bathrooms in the poker room
4. A bar in the poker room that we will serve food from
5. 60+ TV's
6. A full functioning cage inside the poker room
7. Free parking
8. $2 value chips
9. Parkettes will be serving the drinks
10. Safe deposit boxes

Thats all I have for now, needless to say we are really excited.
